We have an opportunity to clean up some of the routines here. Without doubt, we have the largest collection of Pakistan related images on the net. With this also comes the finder’s pain.

Would you agree to roll out this Image Gallery into something like an ‘Image Gallery’? Meaning, with specific sections for various kinds so pictures/images?

Guppies – self, family, etc
Pakistan - Land/Architecture/Scenic
Pakistan - People
Favorites - Cars,phones,etc,etc
Glamour - Fashion, models,trends,etc

…
… Blah blah .. the above IS JUST to explain my point. We will have more and specific sections.

So … What would u like? This casual environment or a more easy to find, classified, organized and presentable Image Gallery. I understand both have their +s and -es …

If you vote for a more organized approach, what categories would you suggest?

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea, It’d make navigating the image gallery a lot easier.

well we could have all the categories you mentioned all well as a few more ‘urdu stuff’

I vote for a more organised approach!
various sections:
The ones you gave as examples and
also a seperate section for ‘funny’ images.

Guppies – self, family, etc
Pakistan - Land/Architecture/Scenic
Pakistan - People

Humour- Jokes, funny images, etc

The pro’s: I’ll quote your words once again:

Con’s : Confused guppies who don’t know where to post their images

Good to go idea. But i'll not go for too many categories. To me these 3 are fine

  • People (guppies & others)
  • Funny (cartoons, poems, jokes picturs etc)
  • General (all other pictures)

If you can smile when things go wrong, you have someone in mind to blame.

A Suggestion:

to figure out which galleries would be needed, open the last 30 posts, and see where each post would fit in. This will let you know if you have all the galleries you need.

That's a good idea! But what if we'd just allow Image tags in all the other sections? Then everything would be, where it belongs to.

it would be nice to have gallery purely dedicated to images concerning graphic art and animations and stuff where a little more hefty (then normal) stuff could be loaded.

and rest I agree with ya all.

That would be an awsome idea...the only thing is..most ppl usually take their pictures off after a certain time. So that category would be a little empty.
Other than that, it's a great idea! I agree with Mareez, we should have one for graphics/animations.

Life is simple until it gets complicated.

I think if you take the 'cafe attitude' out of Image gallery then maybe it would look like a 'quality forum' (just the way it was when it started)
Instead of splitting Image gallery in seperate forums...we should enable images in all sections. It worked well in Khail khilari and shor sharaba.
My 2 cents and nasty ones as usual :-p

Great idea...This way everything will be organized and people can post what they find interesting in the category they find interesting...

Pictures should be allow to post in their catagories.. or u can say According to Forum ...

So everybody can post and see the pictures according to their Catagories And Interest.
