Okay so hey everyone, I’m getting married soon (Yaay!) and the weddings going to be in Karachi, and yes i am panicking! I can’t find anything online -__- It’s really annoying. I don’t like the Shaadi halls either (saw pictures of cousins weddings etc). God. I don’t know what to do and where to start.
I saw this PFDC Bridal week picture, I think i’ll get a similar looking dress made, but i don’t know any copy cat designers in Khi. Not gonna go to the actual designers, they’re way too expensive and not worth it. So help me here guys. Tell me good locations where i could do a setup maybe? not the typical golden lights walay shaadi hall. I’m surprised there are no parks in Khi! or that would’ve been perfect. Anyway, I’m all up for suggestions. Thank you

congrats on the wedding :) there's lots to be found in karachi and there's a decent amount of information online now, especially on these forums. why don't you add in a bit more detail on what you're looking for, that will make it easier for people to help.
for example:
- what are your parameters for the location/area of the venue, number of guests, budget etc.?
- when are you getting married? (if you're short on time, your options may be more limited)
- what is your idea of good and bad decor? what are the things you ideally want?
- do you live in khi, elsewhere in pakistan or abroad? will you be able to oversee the venue / dress matters in person, have trusted family or friends handle it or rely on remote communication solely?

You can’t find some nice shaadi halls in Karachi? That’s a joke or maybe you want something exceptional. But there is nothing which Karachi doesn’t offer, cheapest to expensive, it all depends on how much you dig into your pockets. Is there no mansion type estates where its very picturesque and modern looking?
I know it's pakistan and I don't really know if they do stuff like that but we have that in the UK, it's the latest trend for pakistani weddings here and the mansions do look nice..
Look around and try to see if they have something like that in karachi?
Karachi is a beautiful place and there is some really nice locations there so don't worry you'll find a good location

Good decor is light colors, air conditioned if it's summers, nice tables and chair and not the white cover wali tables and chairs :| some really nice flowers etc.
I live in Canada but yes i do have people who can go and check out the place and look after everything.

There are definitely mansions that people live in and rent out but you'd have to know the owners to ask. There's no directory listing as such. Maybe check out a few Pakistani dramas and then try to track down those homes. Dramas are now shot on private property vs. Sets. Might be a good place to start.

Well in 150 k you ain’t going to get a good banquet hall , not even in north nazimabad area , leave other posh area venues aside … Check the link , I had my marriage done one of their locations about a year ago ..
Thesedays you should be looking to pay around 270 to 300 k ( food charges not inculded ) for a venue similar to these..

If you have money and connections , you can have mohata palace , like sharmila farooqi did ;)

If you're well connected enough and have deep pockets or know people with deep pockets, then tracking down a private residence is they way to go. I've been to plenty of weddings in Karachi at private mansions/homes whose lawns/grounds would blow your socks off
