Basically I’m in my first year of college s most of you know…and I’m hoping to do Medicine…
A couple of monthes back I applied to a summer school at Oxford Univeristy through the Sutton Trust,..I didn’t really think that I’d get a place at it…cos its like real cool…and I didn’t think a person like me would stand a chance.
Anyway…Through my college me and a few of my friends decided to go on this Medsim course at Nottingham University…thing is…the dates clashed with Oxford..
I wasn’t sure that I’d get a place at the Oxford thing…and my principal was like,…its highly unlikely that you will get a place,…so I booked a place at Medsim…that was just like today…we finalised it and everythng…its like 375 pounds…for a 3 day thing…and no refunds
So, when I got home today,…I had a letter from the Univesity of Oxford…congratulating me on getting a place there…for the summer school..
Obviously its like a really prestigious uni,…and if I go there I’d attend seminars, lectures, and get to hang out with Oxford students for a week…it is a really good opportunity…
But at the same time…if i go to Medsim,…i’m gonna be with all my friends…and we’d have a great time..
Also, one of my friends applied 2 Oxford aswell…she wanted it more than me…but they gave me a place and not her I feel so bad…
So to summarise it…Oxford or MEDSIM? What should I do?
And what do you think would look more impressive on my university application…

woohoo.. i'm that famous friend. I think its a great opportunity for her.. she has to go! But medsim is sooo cool - its going to be unsupervised so we have to be all grown up. I say that she should go oxford if they allow her to change the date she goes. Otherwise medsim is a must, it cost alot :s
Have you applied for cambridge university? If you havnt then you should because its one of the most coolest place any student would wana go to and study

But yeaaah! Go go go! D’you know that friend who didn’t get through? What can you do? That’s how life is…if she got in MEDSIM then tha’s good too…don’t worry 'bout her too much…you can’t miss these oppurtunities
Its just that I've been looking forward to Medsim for aaaaaaaaagesss and I don't wanna dissapoint my mates....it was supposed to be fun..

Yeah I know…but its like…the principal asked me so many times if I was sure that he should book me on Medsim…and I stupidly agreeed…yehi sochtay hue that Oxford wouldn’t give me a place…so what am I supposed to go tell him now…he is gonna think Im an indecisive so and so…
And then like when everyone talks about Medsim…Im gna feel
