the taliban do not operate in the US or in Qatar. why would the US or any other country for that matter give a damn about Afghans or Pakistanis over their own nation’s goals of a quick and easy exit out of a costly war that isn’t theirs anymore? They sure wouldn’t appease any such groups in their own countries. Which is the situation for Pakistan and Afghanistan.

All that basically suggest that if anything it’s the countries like Afghanistan and Pakistan that should be more desperate to achieve peace and stability. I don’t see why countries like Afghanistan or Pakistan should have a false sense of superiority against Taliban when US had actually failed to defeat them?

63 or more terror groups wouldn’t be operating in US to begin with nor any country will be sending illegal drones to any European country so lets not even go there. That’s totally irrelevant. The fact is Pakistan too, just like NATO and US, wants to get out of this costly war, end violence and secure peace to protect its citizens. Pakistan is an independent and democratic country, if its democratically elected government and military establishment decides to hold talks with the groups that’s mainly fighting a war against them, then it is their internal matter. Who is US to interfere and sabotage Pakistani peace talks while it’s almost done with appeasing Afghan Talibans? After all they are the one who initiated the peace talks, right? Shouldn’t they respect democratic decisions? They openly asked for Pakistan’s assistance to ensure peace talks is a success for them so why backstab the so called ally when it’s so close to achieving a similar breakthrough?
