This is the same guy who could not openly condemn these killers, but now he is so upset over death of this murderer? He should openly join the TTP.

LAHORE: Reacting to yet another US drone strike in Pakistan, that eventually killed Pakistani Taliban chief Hakimullah Mehsud, Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan Friday demanded the government to block Nato supplies going through the country.

Five militants, including Abdullah Bahar Mehsud and Tariq Mehsud, both key militant commanders and close aides of the TTP chief, were also killed with two others injured in the drone strike.

Speaking to media representatives, he blamed the US for sabotaging efforts to establish peace in Pakistan by repetitive drone strikes in the tribal areas bordering Afghanistan. “Whenever initiative of peace talks are taken in the country, US drone strikes sabotage them,” he said.

The cricket legend-turned-politician, who’s party rules the restive northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, said that they will not only table a resolution for blocking Nato supplies in the provincial assembly on Monday but in the National Assembly also.

Khan, on Thursday, had said his party had the capability to stop the Nato supplies and warned that his words must not be taken lightly. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is one of two routes Nato supplies move in and out of Afghanistan.

Senior PTI leader Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, present on the occasion, said anti-state elements were conspiring to sabotage peace process. He said Taliban themselves say that their leaders were targeted for initiating peace talks.

Chief Minister KP Pervez Khattak said they were being criticised for supporting peace.

Speaker KP Assembly Asad Qaiser said the federal government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) took too long to initiate peace talks. He, however, added that it was still not too late. He vowed to support Islamabad for the dialogue with Taliban.

If he really khan than make it happen!!
He never ever able to control his tounge which harm him dozen of times. Is KPK another different country than Pakistan? Stop NATO supply mean a war with federal govt and army. He is allowed to do protests and show his and his party grievings over Mehsud death but he can't forcefully stop it.

Some one has to take matter in their own hands. We can not trust army, taliban or Govt no more.

Its a hard move.
But its only thing the only honest group of people could do.

But I fear all other morons are going to screw up his efforts. But he can only do what he can do.

I think his belief that these 'maut ke saudagar' can not be defeated, has shattered badly and hence this outburst. This shock has created ripples in his brain. He is still living in the era of early nineteen hundred.

In absence of army's approval he can not do anything. If he will take law and order in his own hands, there may be serious consequences.

Although I don't think any one can condone people like Hakeemullah Mehsud, but the timing raises a lot of questions. This is the continuation of the policy which resulted in the death of Naik Muhammad after his peace agreement with Pakistan, in 2009 when the government was again trying peace agreement with Baitullah Mehsud he was killed, and now the negotiations were going to begin and Hakeemullah was targeted. This will only strengthen the conspiracy theorists that the US does not want peace in Pakistan. Is it also a coincidence that only those/then militants are targeted when ever they give signals of going ahead with negotiations, otherwise they are free to run riot. As far as Imran Khan's statement is concerned, he knows the fallout of this would be on FATA and KPK. Pashtuns will bleed while the rest of Pakistan looks on.

He himself and we all know what is the end of talks. Army and govt. Thinking and planning for a peaceful way out but rats are completely demanding for deal with 100% matching them.
They are not accepting Pak constitute

Realistically I don't know what options are there with us. The military differentiates between good and bad taleban, which is the biggest source of confusion for the masses. The judiciary is not willing to punish them and the state does not properly pursue their cases. The end result is very messy. There are over 70 groups who call themselves taleban, if their strength can be broken through negotiations, nothing wrong with that. However the talks should be under Pakistans constitution and on the premise that they would disarm and declare a cease fire. The army should stay in fata until restoration of peace in the area.

^^^ Well options are very clear. The army does not want to smoke peace-pipe with TTP who they consider bad Taliban, but it does not want to action against them b/c of people like IK & the media.

So here are the options.

1) Clea up the tribal areas
2) Close the border
3) Kick out Afghan refugees

Most of the time these people (chiefs of Kharjee fitna makers) hide in their holes. They can be killed only when they come out of their holes. So, you can say that timing depends on when these Kharjee leaders leave their hole or lower their guard, and that is what happened in the past and at present, when these 'leaders of fitna makers' lower their guard, drone attacks and get rid of them.

Drone is most effective weapon against Kharjee leaders. Drones give Kharjee leaders medicine they understand, it make fear run right through their spine, they know that one mistake and they would get killed (make them get their 72 hoors they do not like for themselves but like for their retarded zombie followers), and that is the reason Kharjees all over Pakistan talk against, create public opinion through support in media, and wants drones to stop.

If IK wants to talk to taliban by all means do so but at least stop showing support for a pathetic pig who killed tens of thousands of innocent Pakistanis. Where is IK when innocent Pakistanis are killed by these pigs. He needs to change his tune. Highly disappointing statement.

Today Imran, Nawaz and TTP are all mourning the untimely death of that khariji.
It just shows what kind of pathetic people we have as leaders in Pakistan. The sad part is that it is not just leaders but majority of Pakistanis also have the same pathetic attitude favoring Taliban.

No one is mourning the scumbag's death. Show me any statement by IK, NS or even khurshid shah. It is the death of peace process that everyone is upset about.

Critics are twisting his stance to criticise him. He is stopping NATO supply on sabotaging peace process.

Man you have some serious hypocrites here. In some other thread about Spain granting citizenship to ex Muslims, every second person is proper nit picking the article to highlights all sorts of adverbs to show how the news is not credible enough or the title doesn't match the content. However in this case despite there not being a single direct statement from Imran where he personally express any hint of sadness over Mehsud's death (Errr why would he?), everyone is still hell-bent on twisting an already twisted news to support their agenda and malign a patriotic democrat's image. Brain dead and so pathetic, really.

The way his statement read is really pathetic. He should have condemned US strike if he wishes to but also at the same time condemned these pigs, which he didnt. Jolie sahib you need to calm down and stop calling other people brain dead. Overall I do support him but on this issue he is WRONG.

The point still remains, just because he did not vehemently 'condemned' the dead terrorist does not mean he's expressed any personal sadness over his death! Big big difference and this is the difference, so far everyone has confused with something totally different and WRONG. There's nothing pathetic about his statement, he is basically saying the same thing he's been saying for years and years. I'm sure people who actually support him, must have an idea or two about the philosophy behind his foreign policy views. That means, Imran doesn't have to make his interviews a hot contradictory mess by adding all sorts of unnecessary side notes to just to please a tiny minority of sceptics.

IK is doing what any good politician does. He looks after his own people. Now thanks to the drone strike more Pakistanis will die. More Pakistani children will be become orphans. More women will become widows. And you all will enjoy your nice dinners in relative peace in the West.

So IK is right. Shut down the supply routes. Make them pay for the blood that will be split due to the drone strike.
