IK involved in money laundering: Kh Asif

Re: IK involved in money laundering: Kh Asif

^ If IK's going to court will help PMLN, best of luck to them. By the way, this was the proper media for Muhammad Asif to have this issue probed in the first place instead of concocted press conferences.

Re: IK involved in money laundering: Kh Asif

**ISLAMABAD: ** The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) will challenge in court the ‘false accusations’ levelled by a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader against the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital (SKMH).

Senior PML-N leader Khawaja Asif had alleged that PTI Chairman Imran Khan had lost a huge sum of money donated to the SKMH in “real-estate gambles”.
“I would request the chief justice to take up the matter at the earliest and save the country’s largest charity organisation,” Imran told a news conference on Tuesday.
Imran said his lawyer Advocate Salman Akram Raja would file a petition in the apex court – but did not say when it would be filed.
Responding to the charges regarding the endowment fund losses, the PTI chief said the $3 million mentioned by Asif were stated in the hospital’s balance sheet.
“The investment was made by the financial committee of the hospital,” he said. And since he was not a member of the committee, he was not consulted.
Despite this, Imran vowed he would bear the loss and return the money to the hospital in case of any untoward situation.
“I will sell my house located at Zaman Park in Lahore in case the hospital loses the money,” Imran said, adding that the only cancer hospital in the country belonged to the entire nation.
The PTI chief said every year Rs2 billion is spent on the treatment of poor patients at the SKMH, while requesting the chief justice to decide the matter as early as possible in order to save the hospital.
“Since elections are nearing, they (the PML-N) are going to target the SKMH and Sita White in their campaigns to malign me. The case should be dealt by the Supreme Court so that the situation is cleared to the masses,” he added.
Addressing the chief justice, he asserted that he (Imran) was not building ‘factories’ with donations, and was, instead, building institutions for the people of Pakistan.
The PTI chief said the PML-N’s allegations have severely dented fund-raising efforts of “Pakistan’s biggest charity hospital”.
“It has been done purposefully during the holy month of Ramazan, when we collect funds,” he added.
Imran said the hospital management was planning on opening two more hospitals, in Karachi and Peshawar – efforts for which could also be hampered because of the allegations.
“My friends tell me why I am even trying to dispel Asif’s allegations. I tell them that I am only doing this because I am a public figure and being a politician I owe this,” Imran said.
The PTI chief also said he had produced his tax statements of the last 30 years to verify that all the money he had spent was not stolen from the accounts of the SKMH.

Re: IK involved in money laundering: Kh Asif

^^ in the game of thrones, people play differently and that is what Kh. Asif have done... Good Luck to IK... if he actually goes to court...

Re: IK involved in money laundering: Kh Asif

Had he not said that, you and likes would’ve said ‘why didn’t he go to court to prove otherwise’, its impossible to please everyone at same time. The question is whether he actually does go to court or not, lets wait and watch. PML-N was not “exactly opting for”, they had no clue about what will transpire, heck they didn’t even know how much IK is involved in the decision making. The statements on SKHM were more like ‘bandar ke haath mai naariyal’ re: Kh Asif.

Re: IK involved in money laundering: Kh Asif

Said by who?

any other person saying it??? and didn’t IK knew that it is nearly impossible to have witness from Karachi??? may be that is why PTI went to 90, to look for witnesses???

Re: IK involved in money laundering: Kh Asif

so you are looking for Nawaz Sharif saying that PTI filed a case against MQM but PPP is declining the entrance of SY?

Re: IK involved in money laundering: Kh Asif

^^ Now you have put it this way, i don't think NS will bother to issue such statement, but even if not said, isn't it true? Altaf Hussain was having strokes after strokes last year same days, when they were out of power and PPP's Rehman Malik was talking about two persons arrested??? the same two persons who allegedly have something to do with Imran something murder in UK??

Re: IK involved in money laundering: Kh Asif

Really explains exactly why you have resorted to practical slavery of the Royal family of PPP. The whole forum can understand what exactly I am pointing towards from the links.. while you are unable to figure out.

Okay.. leave the complicated allegations like living-possessing assets beyond your means and using special vehicles to receive and launder illegal money.. Please answer-defend only one allegation which is a little simpler for you to understand probably.

Allegation: The Royal family of PPP denied the possession of Surrey Palace for a long time in Pakistan’s parliaments. They did not declare the asset in the declarations when they became the members of the parliament. Being official Resident Pakistanis they were obliged legally to declare this asset in their wealth statements, and they were supposed to tell exactly what was the source of income from which they could buy such an expensive property. These mis declarations are proven by news reports from that period. These media news items conclusively prove these mis declarations.

Bhutto’s husband now admits owning £4m estate

The Guardian, Saturday 21 August 2004 01.15 BST

The jailed husband of the former Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto has admitted owning a £4.35m estate in Surrey which the Pakistani authorities say was bought with the proceeds of corruption.
Asif Zardari, who was the investment minister in his wife’s government and acquired the nickname Mr Ten Per Cent, had previously denied any connection with Rockwood Estate, which includes a 20-room mansion and two farms on 365 acres of land.

The property was sold by a liquidator last month and the effect of Mr Zardari’s sudden U-turn is to block - at least for the time being - efforts by Pakistan to collect its share of the proceeds.

According to the Pakistani government, Mr Zardari and/or Ms Bhutto bought Rockwood Estate in 1995 during her second term as prime minister and disguised the ownership through three companies registered in the Isle of Man, which in turn were owned by trusts.

**When newspaper reports first linked Ms Bhutto and her husband with the property, they both issued denials.

Mr Zardari said indignantly: “How can anyone think of buying a mansion in England when people in Pakistan don’t even have a roof over their heads?”** Ms Bhutto continues to deny her involvement.

Soon after the purchase of the estate, an extravagant refurbishment programme began, during which Paul Keating, a builder who worked on the project, met Mr Zardari several times and received instructions from him.

During one visit to Rockwood, Mr Zardari called at the village pub, the Dog and Pheasant, and liked it so much that he offered to buy it. When told that it was not for sale, he asked Mr Keating to build a replica of its bar in the basement of his mansion.

While Mr Keating was working at Rockwood, crates of artefacts weighing 7.5 tonnes arrived by air from Pakistan. They contained 14 antique rifles, 19 bundles of carpets, furniture - including a nine-metre (30ft) cut glass Italian table - a stuffed tiger, wood carvings, statues, and 16 oil paintings. Some of the rifles were engraved with Mr Zardari’s name.

Building work continued through the spring and summer of 1996. There were plans for a helipad, a nine-hole golf course, an extension to the indoor swimming pool and a paddock for the polo ponies.

The bathrooms were decorated with marble, doors were covered in copper and the master bedroom was reinforced with girders to protect it against bombs.

In November 1996, after three years in power, Ms Bhutto’s government was dismissed by the Pakistani president for “corruption, misrule and nepotism”.

One of several accusations against her and her husband is that they took illegal commissions from companies carrying out customs inspections of goods being imported into Pakistan. According to documents cited in a Swiss court last year, commissions totalling $8.2m (£4.5m) were paid to Bomer Finance Inc, a company registered in the British Virgin Islands.

Although Mr Zardari was described as the beneficial owner of Bomer Finance, the court heard that Ms Bhutto had been the only person to make use of its funds before they were frozen at the request of the Pakistani authorities. She allegedly bought a £117,000 diamond necklace from a Knightsbridge jeweller with money from Bomer.

She and her husband dispute these charges and the Swiss case is continuing.

Refurbishment at Rockwood stopped abruptly about the time Ms Bhutto fell from power. Mr Keating refused to budge from the estate, claiming non-payment for work he had done. He eventually left last month after it was bought by a local businessman.

He told the Guardian that he had received a cheque for £500,000, with a promise of £150,000 to come.

Towards the end of last year a liquidator for the three Manx companies (Romina Properties, Winkford Farm and Parsonage Farm) reached a compromise with various claimants for disposing of the proceeds of the Rockwood sale. After paying creditors, the remaining money - believed to be most of the £4.35m sale price - would go to the Pakistani government.

The deal needed approval from a Manx court and when the case came up before Deemster (Judge) Kerruish last Monday, a lawyer representing Mr Zardari objected.

He told the court Mr Zardari, who is serving a jail sentence in Pakistan for corruption, was the beneficial owner of Rockwood Estate and was willing to pay off some of the creditors. He asked for eight weeks to provide evidence of Mr Zardari’s ownership.

The judge adjourned the case until December 20.

Please defend your position specifically on this single issue instead of making irrelevant excuses like typical jahil jiyalas..

Re: IK involved in money laundering: Kh Asif

ek jhoot bolany ke leiay hazaar jhoot bholnay parhtay hain. You know that none of the case ever proved against Zardari in Pakistan. He spent illegally in jail for more than nine years. kuch to sharam karen.

Re: IK involved in money laundering: Kh Asif

And what about you? Aren't you doing slavery of chandah khor? This chandah khor is now in process of making an alliance with bhatta khor qaatil.

Re: IK involved in money laundering: Kh Asif

My goodness. Such is the extent of your devotion to your leige lord, that you would not see the proof the size of a truck, even when its hitting you head on. Zardari and Benazir publicly denied ownership of Surrey Palace. Subequently, Zardari admitted to the ownership of Surrey Palace. Forget about documentary evidence...the guy has admitted it!

aah forget it.

Re: IK involved in money laundering: Kh Asif

Imran hasnt allied with MQM (not yet anyway). He has always clearly stated that PTI will NOT ally with any of the status quo parties. Not sure what the future holds, but if PTI allies with MQM, they will lose my support for sure.

Isnt PPP allied with the same bhatta khor qaatil that you talk of?
Isnt PPP allied with the qaatil league, the party you used to blame for BBs murder?

aah forget it.

Re: IK involved in money laundering: Kh Asif

So long as the bhatta and qatil league are allied with Pakistan Plunder Party they are pawitr...

Re: IK involved in money laundering: Kh Asif

Please point out exactly where I have lied. Is it not a fact he denied the ownership of the Surrey properties and mis declared his assets by omitting this information from his tax-wealth returns for years.. and later claimed that he was the rightful owner of this expensive property..

I am trying to understand your stand on this matter.. may be I am missing some point. Please explain in a bit more detail what do you mean that I am lying and I am be-sharam to point out this obvious anomaly..

Re: IK involved in money laundering: Kh Asif

If he can make alliance with sheeda talli why he can not make alliance with mqm?

Re: IK involved in money laundering: Kh Asif

You pointed out many allegations and came down to one'

You have to focus on allegations against IK. None including IK ever did press conference giving written proof against Zardari to media. Why should I believe you, when you defend all corruption of your leader and who is also recruiter of super permanent lotay?
