There could be a number of reasons…

If I were in his shoes I would likely ignore the accusation simply to prove that it is so baseless that it does not require action at all.

You think if IK closes his eyes, it will not affect his integrity. You are mistaken. The only way to come out of this mess is to get relief from court.
