‘Khuda aap ko gham e Hussain ke siwa koi aur gham na de’!!
This is a frequent dua I read in many books. Recently read that it was first used by Quratulain Haider in her novel ‘Aag ka Darya’, though I remember reading it in the biography of Meer Anees written by Nayyar Masood.

iss se baRi dua kiya hogi ke nabi ke piyaron ke gham ka ihsas ho, aur doosre saare gham aap se door rahen. aap ne wo hadees to paRhi hogi jis main Huzoor ne Hazrat Fatima (RA) ke liye kaha tha jisne isse ranj puhnchaya, usne mujhe runj pohunchaya, jisne isse khushi puhnchai uss ne mujhe khushi puhnchai.
ye aur baat ke hum waqaya e Karbala ko ik hadisa samajh kar pas e pusht daal den.
vo Rasool-e-Kareem [saws] kaa bataayaa huaa tareeqa-e-namaaz hai.
yeh du’aa kabhii Huzoor-e-paak [saws], saHaaba-e-karaam [ajamain], taabe’een yaa taba-taabe’een ne kisii ke marne kaa Gham is taraH manaayaa? kabhii nahiiN…to, ise maiN bid’a na kahuuN to kia sunnat-e-Rasool saws] kahuuN?

due ka taluq dil se hota hai, alfaaz se nahin... aap ne ye nahin suna 'ya Allah mujhe mangna nahin aata, per tumhe dena aata hai'.
ye unka gham hai jinhon ne sab se pehle aur sab se baRi biddat ke khilaaf awaz uthai thi. Gham e Hussain ko aap sirf ek firqe ki practices main rakh ke sochte ho, warna to Iqbal jaise shayar ne bhi kaha tha:
Islam Ke Daman Men Bas Is Ke Siva Kya Hai
Ek Zarb-E Yadulla Hi Ek Sajda-EShabbiri

jo Insaniyat ke ghamkhwar hon, unka gham agar dil main jaag uthe to kiya hi baat hai. Qateel Shifai ki dua main se ik shair hai:
Dard se mera daaman bharde ya Allah
phir chahe deewana karde ya Allah
ya dharti ke zakhmon par marham rakhde
ya mera dil patthar kar de ya Allah
ye bhi to dua hai.. aur wo bhi dua thi jo Huzoor (SAW) ki pasandeeda thi: ya Allah mujhe masakeen ke sath zinda rakh aur qayamat ke din unke sath utha.. bazahir aam aadmi iski gehrai main nahin ja pata, lekin iss dua ke peeche bhi ik hikmat thi.
jo Insaniyat ke ghamkhwar hon, unka gham agar dil main jaag uthe to kiya hi baat hai. Qateel Shifai ki dua main se ik shair hai:
Dard se mera daaman bharde ya Allah

ya dharti ke zakhmon par marham rakhde
ya mera dil patthar kar de ya Allah

Khair jo mujhe kahnaa thaa so maiN ne kah diyaa, baaqii paRhne waale apne faisle Khud kareN...baHs o mubaaHise se yeh masaa'il Hal nahiiN ho sakte lihaaza merii baat jisko appeal kare vo us par mazeed research kare yaa use ignore kare.
