While Intekhab Alam is under busy explaining his side of the story to PCB, former batsman Ijaz Ahmed is given the task of being batting coach for Pak team, when they play T20s against England in UAE. Ijaz Ahmed could not even hold the bat straight, when he was on field. He will be teaching “batting” to this lot. No matter what happens, I think he will stay as batting coach beyond this tour. This is because his first name matches Ijaz butt’s first name. Same reason we cannot pull Salman butt out of this team (his last name matches Ijaz butt’s last name).

LAHORE: Pakistan has announced squad for two T20 match series against England to be played in Dubai while wicket keeper Kamran Akmal has been left out and veteran all rounder Abdul Razzaq has been opted again, Geo news reported.
Shoaib Malik has been named as captain for the series while former Test player Saleem Malik has been appointed as batting coach and Yawar Saeed will be the manger on the tour.

I always astonish that How in pakistan if a person is away from cricket or have some blame to relation with bookies can become a part of Cricket team 
While not sure about Salim Malik's coaching credentials, he was a beautiful batsman to watch.
Pakistan team needs a thorough gentleman ... Salim Malik is a disputed personality and how they can punish the whole team while making him coach

thats a typo from GEO. That news is not anywhere else. Plus, Wasim Bari is quoted on cricinfo clearly saying Ijaz Ahmed is not the head coach but he is going with the team as a batting and fielding coach.
Ijaz Ahmed has done well with the A team and Aaqib, who is already with the team, has experience with the A team as well and both have done well so I think Ijaz/Aaqib would make a good combo.

Geo news goofed. They mixed up the two brother-in-laws. Keeping it in the family at least. Salim Malik would have been a disastarous choice because he was involved and I belive convincted of match-fixing. Ijaz Ahmad cannot be a batting coach, he was no where near a good batsmen himself.

Just because Ijaz Ahmed wasnt a technically perfect batsmen doesnt mean he cannot be a good coach. Was Woolmer a great player? or were Micky Arthur or Buchnanan legends? All these people have done exceptionally well as coaches when all them were medicore players even at their best.
Either way, he cannot do worse than whatever Inti was doing, thats if Inti was even doing anything to begin with.
