What goes me father if someone calls me Indian? Nothing goes actually.
Re: If you’re Pakistani and you’re mistaken for an Indian…
You’ve generalised about Pakistanis as well in a humorous way. Does that make you racist as well? I said it is a common stereotype and i was playing on it.
Do you want me to provide you articles where Indians have said the exact same thing? I’m sure if you search you’ll find it. What was the obsession with Hina Rabbani Khar’s looks which beyond the usual desi sexism? Glad for the laughs mate. Yes i’m racist for acknowledging what Pakistanis here have mentioned and what Southie alluded to when he congratulated KKF on being “promoted.” If you expect me to get wound up about being labelled Pakistani or to “hate” because others generalise that’s not going to happen. I wouldnt be on the site if i was into hate.
Maybe the makers of progressive Indian site youthkiawaaz are racist too. They posted an article on what Indians like about Pakistanis..and one of the points was the looks of a particular foreign minister. http://www.youthkiawaaz.com/2012/11/things-indians-and-pakistanis-like-about-each-other/
Must be the racist mindset of the subcontinent. The Western world must be racist too because for them “tanned” skin is seen as more attractive than pale looks.
Re: If you’re Pakistani and you’re mistaken for an Indian…
Lol it’s not taking much energy. I’m just not convinced. It means that you might think you hate all Indians but I don’t think it’s true. I’ve seen you chatting with Indians on GS without hate. I think you’re saying this so it makes you sound more patriotic to others but I don’t think it is a test of patriotism. I have met such people in the past. So unless you convince me/prove that you hate Indians why should I believe it?
I don’t think you’d tell an Indian you hate them face to face or if you were individually with an Indian.

Gyarah page ka thread...sirf Indian kehne pe...wow

Re: If you're Pakistani and you're mistaken for an Indian...
^ haha thats the magic of indian-pakistani threads. One thing you are assured of is many pages of interesting comments.
Reha ji, Shaitan se kam nahi hai yeh Indians :)AT least 50 pages ja sakti hai. POtential hai.
( I say that jokingly before i get accused of being "racist" by referring to Indians as Shaitan)
Indian/Pakistani media have realised there are more TRPs in creating exaggerating divisions
Positive news never features much.
Actually 12345... you have inspired me to make a thread. You've raised some really thought provoking questions.
Re: If you’re Pakistani and you’re mistaken for an Indian…
I came across this really interesting article. Zia ul Haq’s daughter has a brother-sister relationship with Shatrughan Sinha, an MP from the BJP in India. They attend each other’s family events and meet every year. Zia Ul Haq was present when this brother-sister relationship formed and he even supervised Sinha’s children when they visited Pakistan once.

Two people representing two hardcore religious nationalist parties/concepts, maybe bordering on xenophobia, from across the border have a personal friendly relationship beyond just friendship which remains untarnished by political events.
Could anyone accuse these two of being less patriotic because of this and not hating all from across the border?
Is this strange or what? I cannot imagine this happening in any other 2 countries with our level of animosity. Maybe there is hope after all.
Looking at the above example then how can any person say someone is less “patriotic” because they like Indian people/things or are indifferent to labelling. Same concept vice versa. Liking people across border doesn’t make someone less Pakistani/Indian or mean there is no difference between the two.
