If you were short would you hold back from pursuing someone that was taller than you?
Would tall girls marry short guys?
I ain't tall, in fact anyone would be taller than me, so no issues here :D
But tell you what, you'd love the person regardless. Yes you would want them to look nice as in whatever can be controlled by them just because it makes you happy being around nice things.

A friend of mine is quite tall, for a pakistani girl. She refuses to get married to someone who's shorter than her. Just for the simple reason that it would look weird (iho)

I'm tall as well.. 5"10 but for me height doesn't matter :) Why is it that we worry so much about what people think.. like I said people will talk regardless.. as long as both of them are happy. Height, weight, complexion shouldn't matter.

was watching this show on discovery channel on human sexuality (yeah i am a nerd). turns out if you are male and short, you are shortchanged by a big big margin, because it somehow is a big deal to women. other factors in the looks department didn't matter as much, and could be compensated with lifestyle and success (car, career, money etc.).
of course, one can argue that love and companionship isn't just physical desirability.

Gina, that's true, people will talk regardless... even about things they shouldn't talk about. But hey, they need something in their lives to make them feel they're living!
Personally I could care less about what people say, but for her it matters a lot.

My bro is one of those people.. He also refuses to marry a girl who's taller than him.. Because it looks weird and he doesnt feel comfortable with it.. I can imagine that..
I mean.. I'd also choose for someone who's taller than me.. I guess that would be obvious since Im 5'3..:D
So it's different for all.. I've seen guys and girls make lots of claims before they fall for someone.. and then when they like someone looks, height is secondary.
A friend of mine (grew up with us) always maintained, if the guy was short she wouldn't even consider him.. she married her co-worker that was 6 inches shorter than her.. they have 2 gorgeous daughters. They're very happy too!

personally i dont think height is such a issue cos its something that cant be helped i mean i am a whole foot shorter then my fiancee but at the same tyme we have the same weight lolzz weight is something i can control but height isnt.. and no the in laws dont have a problem with it :D

I believe pretty much everybody has minimum acceptable standards when it comes to height, looks and all these visual factors. They are variable and flexible, but up to a certain degree. Those who claim that these things don't matter at all, either they don't know what they are talking about, or faking it. Exceptions are always there.
