Say you were in Khirad’s place & your husband does something like this. He doesn’t trust you, leaves you in a whole crappy situation, doesn’t support you, makes you go through quite an ordeal alone and also taunts you pretty bad.
Would you still forgive him after all this?
P.S I know most of you would forgive if your husband was Fawad, i am talking about a real-life scenario ..

hahaha yes in real life scenerio i vl forgive him but definetly after lot of rona dhona n fight bc somehow he has done wht he was shown by his mum mistakes dono side ki han jahn huby ne biwi ki nhi suni wahin biwi bhi apni baat nhi pouncha saki so if has repented thn y not
but 1 thing i m sure my huby vl let me know before if any1 irritating him before:)

I dont think I will be able to forgive him.... If he wasnt there when I needed him the most i.e child birth then I think I can pretty much deal with rest of thr things myself without having such a man in my life :/
ps: I hope and pray none of us have to go through any such scenerios in our lives

I sometimes feel bad for Fawad Khans wife! He really does look amazing in Humsafar! Khirad makes him chai and he drinks it. Love the scene where Khirad has her hand on top of his.

THIS!!! thankyou for saying this! it doesn't matter if the dude looked like fawad khan! no one should have to go through such abuse and hardship! some of the ladies on this forum need to stop saying "oh if it was fawad khan I would forgive him" if you or someone you knew had to go through such pain, you wouldn't dare say that. This is why lots of these desi dudes think ..if they are good looking and hold a degree, they can get away with being a jerk. I know one of my relatives husband, who had a phd from oxford, very well spoken and a handsome guy...turned out he abused his wife and she left him. Wrong is wrong and nobody should be allowed to get away with doing something wrong...no matter how good looking or "educated" they might be!

I would not forgive him. Maybe for the child, I would be civil.
Even the character should not go back to him. She promised her God that she would not forgive him. How do you take all that mistrust away and go back as nothing has happened. How would you ever trust a person like that again?

In real life, this kind of behaviour creates a lot of resentment and animosity. A person may forgive, but it will be hard to forget what happened ... and that is the real issue.

Honestly hope that this never happens to anyone. Hope that people have the decency to at least talk to their spouse once. The reason why Fareeda did this in the first place was she was pretty sure of Asher's reaction. She had a surefire plan. Actually in the novel the character of Asher is older (according to what Fawad Khan said) he is 8 years older than Fawad. This makes Asher's character 48 years old. I believe that Khirad is about 20 or 21. Although he is rich and very well educated this gap exists between both characters. He falls head over heels in love with her but Khizr makes him uncomfortable. In the drama this character is played by Fawad who is 40 but looks to be between 25 to 28 due to his physique. Had the character been played by someone older looking it would be easier to understand the mistrust.......Remember Irfan Aslam in Mera Naseeb - his character was believable because of the way he looks. He is an ordinary looking guy.
Also from last week's episode I think Khirad has a soft corner for Asher. She does make him Chai and at times they look like a normal family. If the father of your kids is good with the kids you do develop a soft corner for them. i am sure it is the same with men.........they respect a woman who is good mother to their children.

Looks like its only me who is ready 2 forgive 4 me some how I sympathesize wth huby as he don't know the reality n yes this is bc of his own ego but yes mostly men r like this if ppl in life1 r ready 2 4give past adultery than y not this? I think when u r deeply in love wth someone n if he or she seriously repented thn y not make a fresh strt of course 4 the time being u can hate him 4 wht he did but love s always present deep inside this is wht is shown khirad was making tea n blah blah n earlier despite Asher angry on her he was still worried thts y he asked his mum 2 take her 2 hospital

I think the novel's age difference makes more sense because realistically older men are known to have esteem issues when married to very young beautiful women. I agree the mistrust of an older man would make more sense.
But maybe one can forgive the betrayal but can one forget that easily?

Personally speaking no I won't forgive my husband if he treated me this way. Once he has lost my trust, there is no way he'll be able to gain it back.
