Not necessarily. Perhaps you’re stuck in a routine (as the song says) and your spouse …is so wrapped up in responsibilities/whatever…that you don’t see that fun/carefree side to them that much anymore…the qualities that you fell in love with…and then when you see them in someone else, you’re drawn to them.
You’ve never heard of a person falling for someone who resembles their ex? It coule sometimes be a subsconsious thing. Reminds me of that FRIENDS episode where Rachel falls for “Russ”…the guy who looked and spoke like Ross, but was a much slower/duller version of him.
