which would you go for:

saat/paanch or teen lara..
or raani haar.. im assuming thats what the long ones are called.

sara, i think saat laras are all pearls with stones hanging down towards the bottom of each strand. raani haar is just one long strand with a pendant hanging down, i think. it could be pearls/kundan, anything.

I think they are interchangeable terms no? or i've been calling my 3-lara a raani haar all along..whoops...

I like the saat lara.. i've seen some that are solid gold too.
i saw picures of a beautiful one (in pearl), will post em when i get a chance.

I like both of them:) Wore a rani haar with a magenta sari at a wedding abt a month ago....

It depends on the kaam placement of your blouse..........

If there's a lots of kaam on the blouse--then a saat lara wouldnt stand out as much....

kinda depends on the outfit...some times when the shirt has really heavy and intricate work on the gala part that you would want every one to see clearly, a raani har can ruin the look by covering some of it up and just getting mixed with the colors. it tends to take away from the look of the shirt AND the jewelery.

however if you have a really plain and simple shirt gala, a rani haar can be the perfect thing to wear on top.

^^I absolutely adore this jora and the jewelery. As you can see both the jora and the jewelery stands out because of the simplicity of the bodice

yup...that combo looks really good because the design on the neckline is fairly simple and straightforward. however, if she had work like what she has on her sleeves all over the shirt, the necklace would just blend right in.

yups!! this pic makes me want to choose a rani haar.....I should have placed this pic in that last Bunto/HSY thread....its one of my fav joras and jewelery combined...ahhh!

but Chanda's pixx make me want to choose a saat lara hehehe

its a tough one!

hmmmmm one thing though; a rani haar can be worn again with a sari, but I dont know if a saat lara is can be worn again......think its too "bridal"

I love rani haars. But I've seen a lot of awful rani haars specially if they are solid gold. ew.
