Good points Shahreyar Khan but the thing is i doubt 99% of the people who do go for 2nd or 3rd/4th marriages do so for the right reasons and even if the reason may be right, the don’t end up fulfilling the responsibilities of having multiple wives at the same time. It’s not a kids game to manage a single wife and the responsibilities only doubled/triple up with more wives and most men fail to fulfill them.

But ZK, that does not mean that dos and donts of Islam do not justify or are limited to time and space. Polygamy might be someone’s choice on personal level but if Islam allows it, it allows it and we have no right to question what has been allowed and what is forbidden. do we?
