As I think many of us think he should (in place of Wahab Riaz). Do you think he should open the bowling with Gul instead of a slow bowler? Or should he come first change like Riaz?

okay so who is opening with Gul? Razzaq? or a spinner...
I'll tell you Sehwag and Sachin will hit the spinner easily...
If Shoaib plays, his best use is to open with Gul...full, fast, inswinging to Sachin or rib case bouncer to Sehwag....
today Sehwag even left a free hit bouncer...shows that he has a mental block in relation to bouncers...will not play it or play it wrong...
However, I don't think using him more than 4 overs in the beginning will be a wise choice. He should be used like the game against SL...

I think he should open the bowling. I dont think Hafeez will be as successful against Indian line up.

He should open bowling with Gul. I expect both these bowlers to bring down Indian opening batsmen before they get to 50. That would put a lot of pressure on them. If we can somehow remove Tendulkar & Sehwag within first 8-10 overs, this will probably paralyse Indian batting line up, putting them under huge pressure and, most importantly, slowing down their run rate.

Would Shoaib play against India? I feel if Shoaib would play, then perhaps few other players of Pakistan wouldn’t deliberately perform well

Shoaib Akhtar charging in towards Sachin Tendulkar for the final time in his career. What a sight will that be! Hope Shoaib plays in the Semi-final. :)
