Listen, fairness and happiness are 2 different thing. A court of law may pass a fair ruling that may or may not make either party happy. This is the biggest problem in relationships. We look for happiness all the times than to look for fairness.
Usually fair decisions lead to happiness. Obviously something is wrong with the picture of two people feel that they are not being treated fairly and the one person that has to do all the work happens to think that he is 100% right.
I totally agree as long as you are talking about long term happiness. Problem is this that we all seek instant gratifications and what results in an instant gratification may not be a fair process/

Of course any normal adult knows that. Yes sometimes we do become selfish, but when everyones life becomes hell... any normal adult should also know that they are wrong.
I find it very annoying when men say that women are "unproductive" during menses. We deal with haemoraging every. single. month. for the grander proportion of our adult lives - and have done for centuries. We are used to it. Along-side dealing with children, social expectations and hyperchondriac spouses. I would argue that the male is less productive on health grounds as there is a general tendancy to over-inflate every medical ailment into a chronic, life-changing disease.
So far as polyandry is concerned. I think we are focussing too much on a childs need to know its father. Why is that even important? In this 19th century, are the women self sufficient? Do they still have social stigma and bias/prejudice in the work place?
Perhaps in this imagined, society - the child is recognised by its mother (like jews) and considers all father as equally loving male figures in their lives.
Maybe not mensus but you have to admit that a woman is better off focusing on her pregnancy when she is expecting, and in this day and age, where early morning meetings and late night support calls and off shore webex sessions are usual part of any high paying job, it will be very hard for (and unfair to expect it from) a woman of child bearing age to perform her duties.
