.... Well let's think about it. A woman can have up to 4 husbands.
Pros- There will ALWAYS be someone available to get anything that needs to be done... done! There will always be a steady income comming in, children will have their male figures in their lives, the lawn will always be mowed, the bills will always be paid, the cars will always be running, the drains will never be clogged, there will always be someone around to build shelves, kill spiders, fix the hot water heater, etc.
In exchange a women will cook, clean, and provide "services". And yes, DNA testing is possible in this time....
...ok lets flip the roles, the woman works, and has 4 men to do all the house hold chores INCLUDING home improvement, in exchange she provides a roof over your head, clothes on your back, food on the table, and fufills sexual needs...
The only problem is the idea of your woman being with another man.... personally if a man is ok with having multiple partners, how could he possibly find anything wrong with his wife thinking the same way...

Me personally I could never do it! I am a one man woman. I don't see how ANYONE can divde themself man... or woman. All I am saying is, where there is a possiblity of a male doing it, there is also a possiblity of a female doing it.

O and DNA testing was not possible 100 years ago, so lets assume that you are living in 19th century. What would be the pros and cons then?

It's funny because I had this conversation with someone just last week.
Well now you just changed the location of the story... no fair!!!
But you have to accept that guys are better in handling multiple personalities than ladies. I’ve heard from many ladies that even at work place guys make a better boss, and they would rather prefer a guy manager than a woman manager. SO if polygamy is allowed, it makes sense that it is allowed only for the guys.

Hey, we should discuss the issue in a universal sense., The argument should be applicable to anyage and location.
^Nope, not true… I’ve had 3 female bosses so far and they have been totally awesome. Usually females are accused of micro-managing and thats why they’re stereotyped as not being good bosses, but IMHO its a generalization… not all of them micro-manage and not all of them are bad with handling diverse teams.
I think that us females are just not emotionally equipped to handle all that drama that would come with having 4 husbands, imagine

Such an arrangement would require the woman to be at the top of the hierarchy. None of her husbands can have as much control as her.
Once she is taking care of, lets say, the home, while the men work outside, it wouldn't matter who the kid belongs to. The kids will all be hers.
And if she is at the top of the hierarchy, inheritance wouldn't matter. Because everything would be hers. If they all own property together, then all the property will be distributed among the kids.
As far as the manager thing is concerned, well, women relate to people differently then men do. Putting a woman in a role that the society has carefully constructed for males, without considerations for the needs of women, would OBVIOUSLY have women fail - or struggle to do well. Thus women making bad bosses - workplaces work in inherently male ways. So, if it were upto women to control the households, they would do it their way. There won't be a male standard to compare them with.

This is another problem as she cannot be 'productive' all the times. With monthly emotional changes and pregnancy and post delivery breaks, it will be very hard for her to manage work and responsibilities. At least we cannot make it a domestic requirement for every household.
