If Pakistan and India went to war, would Pakistan avoid Indian Muslims?

Re: If Pakistan and India went to war, would Pakistan avoid Indian Muslims?

Amazing!! And why does it not occur to you that the same possibly applies to India as well…“neighbourhood affair”!!! u really dont know much…u believe this to be the case. It is not.

Re: If Pakistan and India went to war, would Pakistan avoid Indian Muslims?

You really don’T know very much history do you? Karachi was chock full of hindu sindhis in 1947. NWFP also had a large hindu and well tolerated (in British raj) hindu population. Where are they now? or you do not want to answer because you alreadyu know the shameful answer. Bloody hypocrites.

Re: If Pakistan and India went to war, would Pakistan avoid Indian Muslims?

Ovious answer is that the terrorist atacks in Pak are by a fringe element not representative of the majority. In India, the mass riots and ethnic cleanising is at the hands of the average man.

Re: If Pakistan and India went to war, would Pakistan avoid Indian Muslims?

MAss riots, ethnic cleansing - I guess its not possible, but would have been great if you could have actualy lived in India and then you would have made the comment (in bold above) with reference to the “mass riots and ethnic cleanising in India”. Nobody can possibly make a claim that people of different religions love each other or something like that but certainly most in India keep their reservations about other people’s religion to themselves and dont go about ethnic cleansing or mass riots (there is the fringe element of the society which does it and if not yet inGujarat, at least in other places and also in Maharashtra you do see parties like Shiv Sena losing badly. So its not the terrible society you portray it to be. (not to imply that its perfect..has many flaws)

Re: If Pakistan and India went to war, would Pakistan avoid Indian Muslims?

This is a very interesting comment. Particularly regarding Muslim version of Judas. I wonder if the Egyptians still harbour any ill will for the “Muslim version of Judas”, duing the battle for the Suez Canal. I read somewhere that Nasser never quite got over it.
I do agree with you though, Pakistan’s foreign policy has been quite unifocal and reactive. To add to this, the foreign policy was crafted by military men not well versed in realpolitik. Does anyone remember why the Taliban had “strategic depth”? Perhaps Hameed Gul could drop by and explain to us.
In terms of Iran, did anyone else read this: http://www.janes.com/regional_news/asia_pacific/news/fr/fr030129_1_n.shtml
I thought it was interesting myself. Iran, a theorcracy run by Mullahs, allowing their airspace to be used this way. Do Iranian’s see themselves as a “Muslim version of Judas”? Maybe their judas was someone who helped the American’s launch Marines against them, or killed their diplomats and let their killers go free, or perhaps someone who was a midwife to the Taliban.
I remember reading about the Uighurs a little while ago. Seems the Chinese thought the Uighurs were getting help from Pakistan based jihadi organizations, another interesting case of a Judas. That really doesn’t matter. Does anyone remember Deng Xiaoping saying “being rich is glorious”? One just needs to read the international news, even Pakistani, to see how much the Chinese, of late, have terrible animosity towards India…

Re: If Pakistan and India went to war, would Pakistan avoid Indian Muslims?

oh please... this a war between India and Pakistan and not between muslims and hindus. Religion should not be taken into account in the event of a war. It would be even more disastrous. It would lead to back stabbing at either side.

Re: If Pakistan and India went to war, would Pakistan avoid Indian Muslims?

I am most curious. But isn’t the name India given by the Bristish? The British gave names that was an insult to all indians. For eg: Mysore, Madras and including India itself. Mysore= A sore in me. I do not want to go further or it might insult some of the Indians here in this thread.

Re: If Pakistan and India went to war, would Pakistan avoid Indian Muslims?

Pakistan fought two full wars with India; Muslims of India were never an issue in those wars. BD is another example. Once a President of Pakistan, roared on the radio in 1971 that kill all enemy soldiers as they are Kafirs! (Utho momino, kafiron ko tahis nahis kardo)

The topic itself is turnaround of the principle of freeing occupied Kashmir which was the reason of wars with India and justification of Pakistan Army to defend against India.

Re: If Pakistan and India went to war, would Pakistan avoid Indian Muslims?

In fact such a terrible animosity towards India that India and China in Asia are each other’s best customers.

Re: If Pakistan and India went to war, would Pakistan avoid Indian Muslims?

I think if Pakistan were to go to war with India, it should avoid Hindus and specifically target the Indian Muslims, much as its doing inside Pakistan at the moment...

Re: If Pakistan and India went to war, would Pakistan avoid Indian Muslims?

Pakistan represents only the Muslims of Punjab, the rest are treated like colonies.

So much for the dreams of the creators of Pakistan that it would represent the muslims of the 'South Asia or even the world.

Re: If Pakistan and India went to war, would Pakistan avoid Indian Muslims?

LOL … says the man who’s never lived in Pakistan

Quite the expert aren’t you?
