like besides getting laid....i don't see much good in marriage.(im still trying to find answers may be married ppl can tell me)....

I think marriage is the hardest thing in life bt it makes sense and its alot more than getting laid, or so i hope. Marriage is not just abt two people getting together, its a process of life and its how we get connected to millions of people and families r formed. So i dont c life existing the way it shud if the concept of marriage goes out of this world.

no seriously. most of us might say that "no i would have still got married" because our upbringing has put this into our mind. I am sure if we were brought up with the concept of halal premarital sex, most would have done it and would not have think that its bad.

marriage isn't only about sex, it's about having a best friend, a companion to face life with, to share joys and sorrows with...it's about the human connection and what not. or so i have been told ;)

You cant just equate sense of getting married as a need to justify having sex. Marriage is an institution, and sex is just a small part of it. Whatever happened to the other important aspects of having someone to support you, care for you, have a family with and most importantly someone to love.
Also, your statement is flawed. You said if marriage wasn't part of Islam then would premarital sex be permitted? How can you even call it premarital sex, because it precedes marriage.

If "marriage" was not part of Islam, there would have been no word like "Premarital". Marriage is a contract that confines the exercise of animal instinct within socio-religious norms.
Although bf-gf relationship is not legitimate in many societies, yet even among the followers it doesn't offer a license to be licentious at will.
