Re: If i get chance to be the PM of Pakistan ... ?
^ Yah cuz not everyone has the capacity and capability to run the country in order :) hence i wl accept my lack of capacity for the job and ask the one who has it to step in.
You can add the "IF i....". I am too lazy for that :P
Re: If i get chance to be the PM of Pakistan ... ?
If I get a chance to be the PM of Pakistan, I will implement the US Constitution AS IS. I'll call fresh elections for congress, the senate and the presidency. Then I'll step down as PM and take part in the presidential elections.
Re: If i get chance to be the PM of Pakistan ... ?
If (and it's a damn big if....) If i became PM of pakistan it would doubtless be the result of a revolution and it would be a post i will take up temporarily. Naturally when my country was strong enough to stand alone i will move on elsewhere and give other people a chance of a simmilar revolution :).
In the case of Pakistan i would immediately take the following steps to ensure my country succeeds.
*Nationalise all state assets and instituitions.
*Withdraw our forces from all engagements and scrap current defence budget in favour of a new defense strategy based on asymetrc warefare... increase the SOF from one battalion to the addition of six new battalions each designated with special tasks.
*Dedicate the next five years to a period of economic growth based on trade and public ownership nay responsibility for many of the institutions such as healthcare and education.
*Introduce new laws, which stress on the need for an Islamic republic which reflects on being the leading Islamic republic on earth a possition we once held a lot more firmly.
*Attempt to draw the line with India and sign a ten year truce no war no, border raids... a practicall silence from our side of the border. (with certian clauses... I:E should India try and take advantage of the peace the backlashj would be huge and global.
*Scrap our Allaince with America and instead engage in international dialouge where we hold certain cards that shift the balance of power.
*Commit myself to my people and ensure all national issues are discussed by direct referendums and thus giving them greater democratic privelidge than any western nation where democracy is not pure but done by representation.
There are many other policies and should ever by Allahs will they see the light of day then Pakistan might well have a powerfull PM who shall at least try to help his nation and steer it through the best and worst of times.

+1
This is fantastic to read; I hope you're PM someday =D
Re: If i get chance to be the PM of Pakistan ... ?
With this vision of yours, its a no brainier that you never got a chance and you never will :)
PS: btw, If this is the last duty I have to perform as PM (i.e to change pictures on bills), I'd rather put pictures of Muslim scientists and educationists than warriors.
Write single sentences, starting from If i get chance to be the PM of Pakistan ...
If i get chance to be the PM of Pakistan, i will remove the "Qaid-e-Azam" pic from every currency bill. Rather I will have
- Salahud Din Ayubi
- Muhammad Bin Qasim
- Tariq Bin Zayad
- Mehmood Ghazanvi
- Qaid-e-Azam
- Allama Iqbal
- Mulana Muhammad Ali Johar
on 10,20,50,100,500,1000,5000 bills ..
P.S:
I know there are lot of other problems in Pakistan .. Which are "obvious" to everyone. And you can write your views about that as well .. :) ..
Re: If i get chance to be the PM of Pakistan ... ?
I will be a lucky man if i am alive in 30 years time... :D
For now suffice to say we need not dream of any coups or any swift and bloody revolutions, when change happens it can be progressive and slow, almost unknown like a phantom, and then when the Status Quo is least expecting it... BAAAM!
Suddenly as if by magic it's all over and the change comes overnight..... In my short and prolific life i have seen it happen many times.
Before us Bhutto was the most popular man ever to stand in Pakistan when his time came it came in the blink of an eye.
Same with the Shah of Iran and even that most imposing symbol of power the Berlin Wall which came down long before anyone in Nato could dream it... The Soviet Union for all it's millitary might could not stop itself from bankrupt.

H ave the same beliefs regarding the Pakistani defense programme. That's the only sustainable way. Otherwise, we are heading for bankruptcy, just like the Soviet Union.
But I don't agree with the nationalization of assets. This has been shown again and again to be counter-productive.
Re: If i get chance to be the PM of Pakistan ... ?
I agree with you Icesoul, but at least with nationalization you strike an immediate short term success.
By making everyone responsible for something your making it less likely they will want to take the blame should things go awry a more alert people is crucial to a nations survival in early stages.
While it can be counter pruductive you wont go bankrupt and more to the point and of particular note here is that electricity and gas supplies etc will be much better distributed if they are shared by everyone.
By nationalising something you give it a chance to build up strength... even revive bankrupt projects... UK guppies will notice the way that the UK bank Northern Alliance is now a public owned asset has saved it from being written off.
My plan was stated to be short term but to have a strong foundation is crucuail to the survival of the nation.
If you set the foundations strong early on chances are it wont break apart so soon after you leave.
Offcourse this is all hypothetical and we wont know for sure until the measures are tried in due course however given past examples one is able to draw an accurate forecast of possible future events.
Now Allah knows best but i am firm in my belief that these measures far outwiegh anything my countries governemnt can put on the table.
