Islam has wonderful teachings but I don't understand why Husbands do not have to ask their 1st wife if they can marry again. This is unjust and will cause so much hurt for the 1st wife.
If a Husband is a true Muslim - then a true Muslim fears Allah and would never want to cause so much pain and hurt to his wife, which will happen when she can't sleep at night as she wonders about her Husband and his new wife copulating! Pardon me to put it so blunty but these would be natural thoughts! It is unfair for a Husband to remarry without his 1st wife's consent. Shouldn't a Muslim Husband be respectable and caring towards his wife's feelings?
A husband should treat his wife with kindness and respect. If he is a good Muslim, then he should take his wife's feelings into consideration and ask her if he can marry a 2nd wife. And why not? She is his wife! Men would be unable to bear the thought of their wives with other men! Think how wifes would feel?
