The prophet ripped off a gold ring from someone's fingers and threw it to the ground? Gimme a break. You think a Prophet that is trustworthy and liked by everyone would do something like that. Are you going to respect someone who rips things off your body and throws them on the ground, or are you going to think the person is psychotic?
Some of these hadith's really do seem to be invented by people conspiring against Islam. If these things were haraam and so evil, then the Quran would have said so. It doesnt. And the idea that gold and silk are all becoming and NATURAL to women, is a bit weird. I'm sorry, is it in our other X chromosome that men don't have...that a female will have mental and bodily reactions to not wearing or wearing gold and silk?
