If given Power

Every other day, we discuss rather curse each and everything and politician in Pakistan, sometime we cross limits and get abusive towards them. In this thread, let say we are the one who have been given the power to rule Pakistan for 3 years, how would you do the following:

  1. Economic stability
  2. Harmony and trust between the Provinces
  3. Taking Pakistan out of the terrors of War
  4. Political Cleansing

I’ll start with my views on solving above:

  1. The Economic stability of any country depends on the Social Justice, potential for growth and apt infrastructure, i focus on these three aspects and with more focus on the rural areas providing them these three elements at there door steps.
The benefit of having focus on rural areas is that the results are quicker compare to big cities and once the people of these rural areas (citing in cities for work purpose) get to know that their hometown in on boom, they’ll get back this will ease the pressure on the big cities.

  2. Provincial Harmonry is related Economic stability, in order to increase harmony between the provinces, there is need to support people who believes in it, lets not waste time on the HAMESHA SAY NARAZ mafia and get the people who believes in Pakistan collectively, support them to deliver the fruits of economic stability to the door steps of these, support them to develop educational and health infrastructure, stand with them and fight injustice and intolerance, whoever do not believe in Pakistan, should be d-graded and his economical and social activities should be restricted, same should be done with the people who have any sympathy and/or relationship with them… make the relatives of that person take care of him…ofcourse this need to be in after the fruits of the economic stability delivered to the people

  3. Taking Pakistan out of the war of terror, sealing the boundaries with India and Afghanistan, imposing up heavy duties for letting the NATO-SHIPMENT passing through, anyone in Pakistan feels for the Taliban and any party want to help them shall be sent to Afghanistan. Pakistan is independent state, it’ll only protect its interest and would not interfere unless and until it have to. The borders shall be mined/wired, no Pakistani would be going to Afghanistan through roads/land, no Afghani will be welcomed in Pakistan, the Afghan refugee camps shall be shifted back to Afghanistan. anyone remotely connected to terrorism and/or terrorizing Pakistani citizen shall be sent to hell and his family out of Pakistan with all their wealth seized and distributed among the people effected by the act of terrorism.

  4. Political cleansing can only be done by character building, 60 years is enough to see through these politicians who accept / criticize anything to get into power. Shall come-up with criteria for these politicians which may include but not limited to

  5. Ministries shall be given on the capability of a person and not because of his political standing

  6. Anyone having more wealth/business out of Pakistan than in Pakistan ( percentage should be 65-35) shall automatically disqualify to take part in politics

  7. Anyone accused of corruption charges will no longer be a law-maker/Parliamentarian) he needs to get clear in all charges.

  8. Anyone with dubious background cannot run for elections

are few to mention, please add urs and/or comment on these

Re: If given Power

One more thing i forgot add above,

I'll fire Ijaz Butt and get somebody good to Manage our Cricket... look the mess we have created at Lords...

Re: If given Power

How come Cricket can be a big issue?

Re: If given Power

You have a good agenda but you are missing two top lists issued:

  1. Ever growing population
  2. Low literacy rate

Re: If given Power

^ 2 is the root of all problems, whereas 1 has been used by other Asian countries to their advantage, especially in the last decade

do you think that our current leader do not know how to solve the issues? They do. They are just plain apathetic. power agg*****zement is the norm. you cant do anything alone...they(those in power) wont let you. change must come from the people

13 defeats in a row...

1) Population needs to used in advantage that is more the population more the production and consumption of commodities

2) Literacy rate cannot be taken care of in 2/3 years span, yes better economic conditions and educational infrastructure will tempt the common man to send his children to the school

Who is talking or having any hope from current leadership...

Common People starts from ideas and that is what i am trying to do in this thread is not to curse politicians and ask intelligent people like you to come up with ur priorities if you were given power... ( i know its not going to happen, but cursing won't solve any problem either)

Agreed. And that is precisely why the satanist's mafia running Pakistan rom behind the scene would never allow any honest & credible leadrs come into positions of authority to bring any positive change.

No. 1 is definitely not an 'issue'. It infact is a huge power & asset of Pakistan which we stupid Pakistanis are unable to see. Hence, as per the satanist's mafia's desires, the Pakistani government constantly keep discourage Pakistani people from breeding by telling them that it is a huge 'problem. The fact is, they want to deprive Pakistan of this great asset called 'man power'. This power if channelized positively can contribute so much not only towards Pakistan but towards the betterment of the whole world. But noooooo our politicians do not want that headache of taking care of & making the right policies for their children.

No. 2 is not the only issue but the quality of education too which has been on the decline since 1947 just as per the criminal mafia's desire. It is important to note that the low quality of education is not just Pakistani issue but of the west too. The mafia does not like intelligent people who could understand & question their secret agendas. More the intellectually deprived 'singing/dacing'-only public, the better.

Re: If given Power

I appreciate this effort.
Hope some will come out soon to act on this agenda.
I suggest a NRO for all too.

1) Economic stability

a) Ban all export of raw materials (steel, iron, cement, cotton etc.) used in local industry. Remove subsidies / increase taxes on import of electronic products like cell phones and luxury items like cars.

b) privatize services like railroads, power distribution, etc with regulatory oversight over them.

c) power / energy generation projects to be initiated on war footing.

d) government employees and members of parliaments to declare their assets and

explain sources of income for their assets. Any assets found beyond income declared in the income tax returns to be confiscated.

2) Harmony and trust between the Provinces

Pretty much what hannibal said with greater political and economic autonomy for all provinces.

3) Taking Pakistan out of the terrors of War

Pretty much what hannibal said +

a) make military and intelligence services answerable to secretary of defense who works under defense ministry which works under the prime minister.

b) keep a strict attitude in dealing with USA. We have suffered much much more than any western country through terrorism, the seeds for which came from USA. We deal with USA on quid pro quo basis where we help them only when sufficient funding has been provided and intelligence/technology shared.

4) Political Cleansing

Cannot be done in a few year. The system needs decades for maturity. Amend constitution making it extremely difficult for military to interfere in political matters. When politicians know they have to go back to public for votes in a few years time, they'll start doing better. Now they only know that military is going to take over soon and they should loot and plunder as much as they can.

We do need to do a lot for education which is necessary for future development of this growing country. One step can do a lot of good for the country:

*Force all government employees above grade 19, members of parliament, senators and officers of armed forces above rank of Lt. Col. to have their children educated in Pakistan, except when they are offered a full scholarship in a recognised university abroad. They can resign from public service if they really want their children educated abroad. *

I am sure this would lead them to make extra efforts for improvement of local education system.

Brain drain is another big problem. People who are somehow able to get top education do not stay here in Pakistan to contribute positively in business generation. Out of my school mates/class fellows, 90% are now settled outside Pakistan...!!!

U may be right, but we can't use that as an excuse, if they have brains and good planning + implementation to keep us in mess, then Allah All Mighty have given us brains and courage to counter it.. to fight back... and for that the first thing we need is the determination that we will not go down quietly, if we have to down then let the history mention us as a great nation who fought till the last man and last blood... this can be achieved only by +ve attitude, yes i i agree we need to be aware of our enemy and at the same time we should have believe that yes we can beat him.. we have beaten in the past and we are going beat them again... and InshaAllah very soon...

Allah is on our side, its we who are not on Allah's side, Allah is ready to help us to beat this enemy, we need to believe in him and his miracles.. like Iqbal said:
Aql hay teri sapr, Ishq hay shamsheer teri
meray darvesh! khilafat hay jahaan-geer teri
Ma-Siwa Allah kay liya Aag hay tkbeer teri
To muslmaN ho tu taqdeer hay tadbeer teri

Thay tu woh aba tumhary tum kya ho
haath per haath dharay muntazir-e-farda ho

we need to make a move, where ever we can, however we can.. no more waiting

a) During my MBA I did a paper of Economy of Pakistan, i did mention the hurdle i.e. exports of raw-materials is our main export and imports of finished products .. this is sign of sick economy ( to me, consumer-based economy is sick and have great potential to choke at slightest turbulence) i agree to put ban on export of the raw material/unfinished products and on the same note, i would give great incentives to import the knowledge and technology to process the raw-material.

b) I agree Privatization of services and have strong regulatory authorities will ease the burden of the govt and at same time it would provide great deal of efficiency, hence comfort for people. Just like in any developed country. to keep the control on the things i would rather privatize operations and would happily give away the operational profit to the operator. Moreover, i would like to have a Pakistani based company operating the show, the company will be encouraged to import the expertise from other countries where the prefrences would be given to the Pakistanies settled abroad.

c) For Power i would suggest to work on a phenomenon where the households are enocuraged to produce electricity for them and others by using solar energy. I would go for Coal and Hydel power projets to extent where the power produced from these sources should be not less than the 70% of total demand, and for remaining, like is said would encourage people to produce it, anyone comping with better technology in the Pakistan shall be awarded and would encouraged to develop it compete in the local and international market.

Re: If given Power

Looking good. I hope that an agenda acceptable to to the majority shall be prepared here.

Re: If given Power

hanibal,

There are so many good people with brilliant constructive policies & ideas for running Pakistan's industries / affairs. It's not like there are no good people who can be put to work but the thing is those people are being thrown out of power for political reasons. Nobody is concentrating on 'Pakistan' but who did what & how I can get back on him.

So, those good people are being kept away & all the jahils, criminal, uneducated, corrupt lots of goons are made to govern Pakistan. What do you expect?

And I think a matter of real concern to answer all your question in short is:

  • Lack & declining quality of education of pakistani people.

  • No & least exposure of Pakistani people to the global world of knowledge & information about all the fields. The Pakistani people's access have been severely limited to anything & everything about bollysh!t, absolutely nothing else. Apart from that they are made to watch how the country is in total chaos. Can you imagine the damage?

Right now, I guess the most important thing to concentrate on is free quality education for all pakistani citizens, a healthy exposure to the rest of the world & 100% discontinuation of bollysh!t exposure. Rest of the good things would follow.

Pakistan nation is seriously required to be organized. Really organized. We cant behave like the jahils that we have become (thanks to bhindian-only exposure) & expect to progress too. We need to respect ourselves & other fellow citizens, become united, one force against all the anti pak elements. But again, all of that will come with quality education, maximum healthy exposure to global affairs & complete discontinuation of bollysh!t world. These are the basics. Only then the good things would follow.

Re: If given Power

No doubt there brilliant Pakistani in and out of Pakistan and yes there is very limited chances for Brilliant Pakistanies to perform and if i agree with you on the fact that the govt is following anti-Pakistan agenda then you should also believe in the fact that with all these bad happening and half the world against us we still have:

1) converted our self into an Atomic power
2) One of those countries who manufacture and sell traditional warfares to many countries
3) Make its own Jet fighter
4) Have advanced level Missile System

are few to mention and there are many other wonders which has been done in the social and civilian front.

I agree that there are many hurdles, I know it is against the wish/will of many worldy power but still things are moving although bit slow, but it is moving..

The purpose is, we need to identify problems, enemies and our priorities... we need to say out the strategies to drive the enemy out, beat the problems to death.... that is purpose of the thread...

Re: If given Power

Very interesting and thought provoking thread, :k:
