of your desk and the surrounding area (office, cube, etc.) what would we find?
For me the list is as follows:
standard desk items like telephone, headset, pens, pencils, paper clips, stapler, ruler, letter opener, scissors, highlighters, tape
laptop docking station and stand
extra monitor
picture of Noor and my nephews
small mother’s day frame made for me by Noor
various awards
various training manuals and certificates
box of tissue, hand lotion
coffee mug and water bottle
cell phone
dry erase markers
tylenol/advil and various cough and cold meds (yes I’m known as the dealer)
vitamins and various supplements
cutlery and dishes cuz I don’t like to use the disposable ones in the kitchen
snacks like protein bars and right now Haldiram’s samosas, goodies like chocolates and lollipops for kiddie visitors
sweater for days when the AC is too strong
a pair each of spare brown and black shoes
small mirror, toothbrush, toothpaste and other items for “freshening up”
spare change of clothing
and the list goes on…

Mine is fairly sparse, I anchor in like a traveler....perpetually looking to get the hell out of here.
The only unusual things you'd find are the candy wraps that should have been in the bin rather than in drawers and all the papers that should have been shredding bins, and my missing brain that should have been...oh wait I got carried away & took the autospy in the literal sense.

i keep my work place as clear as possible. when i leave the only things sitting there are the docking station, phone, and my mug
