I am appalled by the idiots on craigslist who think that others are stupid morons. They want to take your old Ipad from your hand for merely 250 dollars, and dont bother calling them if you have a scratch anywhere on the surface. What do these idiots think that just because there is an Ipad 2 out there, I am ready to just throw my original ipad away like a disease.
Then there are morons who stood in line to buy IPAD 2 and now they have one, and they think that now they have the key to this whole world and people would be ready to buy a 900 dollar ipad for $1300. Someone should tell these idiots that the rest of the world is not a moron. One can easily wait for 2-3 weeks for the tablet to be available easily through apple stores or if they are dying to have one, can easily stand in line at 7 AM and get one at 9 AM.
I've been searching up cars on craigslist for months now cause Imma be swaggin out my town, driving around in 1-2 years. Do people really sell Acura TL's for 7k???? Or are they just scams? I've seen some from 03, 04 with like 50-60k miles for around 5-8k and I WANT ONE.
And I bet there are people who will pay $1000+ consistently for a product worth $900 straight from the store. There is always someone willing to spend more for their convenience.
There are plenty of legit deals on craiglists. I bought a van, found a rental property when we moved to this city, sold 2 ipods and 2 laptops through craigslist. You just need to be little cautious when you buy your car. Make sure that the price is comparable with the blue book value and they are giving you a carfax report.
Call me stereotype racists but when it comes to buying used vehicle, my rule of thumb is to only buy that from white people from suburbs. I dont trust no black, desi, arabic, mexican when it comes to cars.

Agreed. Personally, I would never pay ridiculous mark up on anything I want unless I have absolutely no chance.
I’ve done it a couple of times for a couple of concert tickets, some flights and for a part on my car that I couldn’t wait two weeks for. So yeah, unless absolutely necessary, I’ll survive. An iPad would fall under I-Can-Live-A-Few-Days-Without-This category. Its really a matter or principle rather than money. I would never stand scalping
A friend of mine (Chicago) bought his TL for about $5K something. So yeah, should be do-able. Just make sure you get someone to have a peek at the car, do a CarFax check and test a few just to get the feel of different vehicles. Better still, come back in a few years!

No matter how early you reach, first 20 spots are occupied by Chinese boys and girls who are buying it for some scalpers who is going to give them $100 to buy 2 ipads (thank god that apple has a limit of 2 per person) and then those scalpers would sell it to whomever idiot is willing to pay 1400-1500

what you have to see is what the bluebook value of the car is. unless someone is very desperate to sell in a hurry, why would they go substantially below the going price, unless there is an issue with the car. and aside from carfax, please run an autocheck report, they are much more comprehensive than carfax.
If I was in the line, I'd be proper pissed but then buyers encourage such behaviour by willingly spending over retail
I read on the internet that there are Chinese rich people in china who want an Ipad2 right now right now and willing to pay up to $1800. Its so irritating, the guy in front of me in line realized that the ipad configuration he wanted (rather what his client wanted) is not available. That idiot kept holding the line talking to some moron over the phone for 15 minutes. I wanted to kick his behind. The client on the other side was probably not ready to buy any other configuration so however that guy was in line for 3 + hours, he decided to walk away without an Ipad and come back the next day.
