are you fed up hearing ( mostly western born pakistani kids)
IDHER KAY BACHAY ko to kuch patha hi nahi hai, or idher kay bachey are rude/besharam/batameez/ur own word…
we are always compared to the kids back home, and whats worse is that the kids back home can be JUST as batameez but their parents wont notice it, however will be quick to notice our downfalls…
if i say something in english apparently it can sound rude because of it,however if my cousin in pak, says the same words in URDU she comes off better..
lol @ pitt chari hai.
Your mom was generalizing, probably saying it in anger or to motivate you to become more obedient.... these are parental tactics to get kids to behave :p.
Waisay bhi zaroori nahin hai kay saaray bachay parents ki izzat kartay hon, some do it cuz of pitayee ka darr. It depends on how the parents are bringing up the kids, not cuz they are idhar kay bachay ya udhar kay bachay.
Yes some are worse, but they're better at hiding it..... so I guess the parents here get the impression kay in general Pakistani-born bachay are sooooo good. In any case, you shouldn't generalize, it all brings on the parents and the upbringing.
By the way, my favorite dialogue for comparison is "goron kay bachay" (being worse).... and I would probably yell at anyone who criticizes my kids (here or in Pakistan) .... koi kuch bol kar tau dekhay.
