I came across a brilliant blog post on dawn.com. It was about improving pakistan’s world image by a pepsi campaign…it carries information on the searches that most indians do and make their country sound better in google search terms :-)(may be they use bots their huge internet savvy population or just influence google)…sounds ridiculous..read on..btw one better point to start with for us could be to stop blaming the west for our problems :D..read on..brilliant piece of work…

When I tried the above query myself, I got marginally better results, with the most entertaining Google suggestion yet: “Pakistan is building robotic army.” Really getting into this Google experiment, and getting out my one true gut-reaction as a Pakistani, I typed in “India is…” for a comparative perspective:
What I got was my socks knocked off. The disparity was shocking! Clearly those professional-looking media savvy Indians, with all their networking skills, and public relations finesse, and all their sophisticated lobbying were getting the word out that India is great, India is a developing country, and India might just be the richest/best country in the world.
While we’ve had all our resources and energies concentrated on security and defense, the Indians, as smart as they are, have been maneuvering a very successful media campaign to promote their digital and electronic image to the fullest. There is no other choice. We must retort!
You get respect if you are strong and can solve problems on your own.
Pakistan problem grew when they invited the americans into the country security and economy has never been so bad.
So first thing is to remove the cause of problem and tell the american military bye bye because since they arrival bombs going of almost daily in all major cities and this damage security and image of pak going down and down!

@javed you're right it started with US military coming to your country. i think opinion is divided on whether they should just leave with half job or continue..

Read the article it is a blog post by a very regular blogger on dawn(Asif Akhtar) and he isn’t an indian he is your fellow pakistani..perhaps with a functional brain :D..so it doesn’t surprise me you don’t agree with him…
btw speaking of image..it is clear from the responses that pakistan is devoid of any ideas on improving its image.

Google is not the cause. They have some algo (which no one outside knows how it works) that mines searches people do to give suggestions in autocompleter. That's the reason i said indians might be using bots..
The results are unbiased from search engine perspective atleast..
That's a lot of points to say a part of Asif's search term returned incorrect
suggestions. So many problems in india..But this doesn't answer how
to improve pakistan's image so it isn't clubbed with somalia and yemen :D

People who know a country from my experience have asked me about snake charmers in india, elephant rides, taj mahal, poverty, illiteracy, diseases :D and information technology..
