so can we find these same suits at less prices from this Fair shop?

I got this swiss lawn suit for Rs. 1100 in January at the fair price shop as compared to Rs.1500 in the local market.. but then that was two years ago when the swiss lawn just came out so may be it's cheaper now even in the bazar.
ps: I mix matched the material for shalwar n qameez because swiss lawn is kinda see through to be used as a shalwar.

Silai for Rs 130-180! OMG what a bargain! I've just come back from Pakistan with 60 suits (approx) each of which cost Rs 220 for silai. Mashallah the darzi is really good but because we've been using him for yeeeeeeeeeeears and he sews all our clothes, he's become slightly arrogant. I remember freaking out on him when he didn't sew some clothes when he said he would and he just sat back and told me he'd sew them soon- wouldn't give me a time or anything- aaaaargh! Wouldn't even lower the price of silai even though we had SOOOOOO many outfits sewn. Charged Rs 450 for saris. I don't know if that's normal but we liked his silai so went for it.

I bought some Gul Ahmed Lawn/Cotton- absolutely beautiful and because it was from the men's range, it was different. Paid a pretty penny for it, only to forget the chaddar (which I had made from the same fabric as the kameez) somewhere in Pakistan. I'm gutted. It was one of my best suits. I pray someone finds it and sends it over. :(

Wow, lucky thing - can I ask how long you were there for? Just trying to determine the length of stay needed in pak/lahore to get a decent amount of suits made.

lol, really? My mom just came back from paki and she had to give this one darzi about 25 suits at just one time. LOL. now that’s crazy but she only went for 5 weeks so she didn’t have much time. But the darzi was pretty good, he stitched my outfits that were for my jahez. I’ll have to ask my mom how much he charged tho.
Now I wanna go to Paki and shop.

he did it with mine. it was wedding season, and i know that darzi had about 5 other girl’s clothes, besides mine to be done. but each one of them had something wrong with it 
not horribly it’s ruined but not what i wanted to be done.

WHOA! 60 suits! :o, my mom just came back from Paki and she brought back about 20 for me. 
And most were what I gave her to stitch for me.
And lol, darzis take forever! They’ll never give you the right day or time of when the clothes will be ready. ARGH.

Oh noes. :(…my cousin had them made for me so she chose a good darzi and I had sent her pictures of the clothes and she ended up making some of them too, lol. We prolly have the same jahez clothes. :CareBear: But my mom said that hers were better.

there are 2 sutis i remember that he didn’t do a great job on. my sari he sewed it too khulli, so when i had to wear it i had to pin it like 20 times for it to fit. for another kameez i wanted him to use the shalwar’s kapra for the gala, and he used the kameez. lesson learned

the dupatta is beauutiful. its a chiffon dupatta with satin bits on it. Its absolutely stunning :jano:
the green one is slighhhhhhtly different in colour, a little more on the sookhi mehndi sort of side but equally beautiful. I think I am going to drop everything and make these pronto and wear them, IA :rotato:

Hey is the 2nd one lawn fabric or cotton silk. I thought at their website it said this one is silk.

neera its a very fine silk cotton I would say, cottony in look and silky in texture. There is no nylon mixed in it at all. I am going to use some french lining under it since its sheer.
amian earlier i had tried getting an estimate and they gave a $30.00 charge for 5 suits to VA, USA. I am not sure if that is standard shipping or if it varies by the number of outfits order. Try putting in an order on the website and you will get to see the shipping charges before u finalise the order.
