Well anything is possible provided they work hard and put everything in2 the game

haaaN .. empires are included :o

I always thought that Bravo is a FINE all rounder and he proved just that, with the ball at least.

Turning point was the dismissal of Youhana, we went down without a whimper after that. Well of course Afridi was looking good but with 9 wickets down he had no chance.

lets just see what happens. anything can happen.

khair mai kitchen mai chala kuch khaanay.

It was a mediocre WI attack. Our batsmen gifted them along with the umpire. Watch England rip them apart.

Then they still have 15 more overs left.

We have two pakistani teams. Brilliant one and a pathetic one. Latter one turned up today.

lets not forget this windies outfit was bowled out for 59 not too long ago.

I predict a Pakistani victory. :snooty:

Bob woolmer must have noted it down and we are not totally out of it. But odds are heavily stacked against us. Inzimam did exactly what Akram did in WC 99 final on a damp wicket. batted first.

Aap kay mooN mai ghi shakkar.

I still believe batting first in a playoff match is the only way to go. the pitch aint gonna change in 3 hours.

Inzi did the right thing. They should have re-adjusted strategy and target after yoyo got out.

:nook:

are the conditions still cold and windy? This match isn't over yet. Remember the pathetic Pakistani surrender in 1999? Well I have a feeling this team won't surrender, the Windies better not get too confident.

I think it was poor thinking right from the begining by Pakistan. First of all…Why play a youngster like Salman Butt in a Semi-Final of the ICC Champions trophy in conditions fully supporting the bowlers…Imrat Farhat has struggled, but I think Pakistan should not have changed the winning combination…

Second thing…Batting first after winning the toss…I mean what was Inzamam thinking? The last 2 games Pakistan has won chasing, why not keep it the same way…every team that has won the toss in this tournament has fielded first to make full use of the seaming conditions and its tough for the bastmen out there. And then…sending Afridi all the way down in the order. I mean if your gonna have a hitter like Afridi in the line up…why waste him. He ran out of partners in the other end…you cant blame him for how he got out. Sami and Rana had no idea what happened as they got bowled…and I thought Rana was an all-rounder?

Also, its important if we look at Shoaib Malik’s performence out of the sub-continent. I still think someone like Youhana or Inzamam should be coming in at #3…but thats just a personal thing…but if Pakistan are to play him at #3 regularly…then he definetly needs to improve his technique…I dont know how many times I saw him miss ball outside of offstump today. He has struggled in English conditions…but I think he could be a good #3 batsmen only if becomes more used to the English and out of the sub-continent conditions.

Win or Lose, Pakistan should keep the same team…one loss doesnt mean you kick players out and get new one’s…I think the current team is the best we have after a long time, we don’t need to change it…we just need to improve with the decision making and with Bob Woolmer in charge…Im sure that will happen soon
