ICC to probe 'scoring patterns' in 3rd ODI between Pak-Eng

Re: ICC to probe 'scoring patterns' in 3rd ODI between Pak-Eng

Hey takethat sixes has a point, you could see that even fawad got out, he tried to get out on the first ball, but it missed the fielder, but the second one he hit slowly so strauss had a chance to catch the ball which he did, when fawad got out you could clearly see he said something to afridi, I don't know what to believe. TAKETHAT SIXER has a really good point.

If the whole evidence is based on just 2 overs, then thats pretty flimsy evidence.

Re: ICC to probe 'scoring patterns' in 3rd ODI between Pak-Eng

It has happened before too, I believe Shoaib Akhtar got run out in a similar fashion.

lol guys cant believe u r believing that our players fixed the match v won :smack:

Re: ICC to probe 'scoring patterns' in 3rd ODI between Pak-Eng

Consider this:

After doing a thorough research on matches between India and Australia being played in India, if someone could predict few patterns in advance for a certain match and these turn out to be correct.

Will ICC investigate India and Australia in this case?
Will the same Loghart dude will be going berserk in media about the fixing of one or other sort?

Just a simple question.

Re: ICC to probe 'scoring patterns' in 3rd ODI between Pak-Eng

If the 'fix' was about 39 and 40 overs, then the bookies are really brave to see Pakistan batting line surviving 39 overs to begin with.

Re: ICC to probe 'scoring patterns' in 3rd ODI between Pak-Eng

Hey I'm just joking about fawad alam being out, plus afridi was just trying to get away from the ball, it hit his bat then hit broad, mate even if you try hundred times it won't happen like that again, just a giant misfortune, plus dotrove missed that stumping, if it was alleged that he took money for that everybody would be all over him, but I haven't heard single person talk about that, DON'T LET ANYBODY THINK FOR YOU, THEY WROTE IT YOU BELIEVED IT, THINK LITTLE BIT

Re: ICC to probe 'scoring patterns' in 3rd ODI between Pak-Eng

The funny thing is that fix is over scoring pattern and that only 7 runs were scored in these two overs, while there were 2 outs in the two overs, both of set batsmen, even 7 is a good with fall of two wickets. If it was about getting out or fall of wicket one could think over it.

Secondly, cant think of any particular number that was purposely not crossed. AT end of 38th, Pakistan were 179, and at end of 40 were 186. If the fix is about 200 at end of 40 overs then it was far fetched to begin with.

Re: ICC to probe ‘scoring patterns’ in 3rd ODI between Pak-Eng

while the ICC were right to suspend the Pak trio accused of spot-fixing in Lord’s test, I do not believe in The Sun’s allegations this time around.

Surely it was the English team that collapsed inexplicably from 201/5 to 218 in the 3rd one dayer. hence if any team should be investigated it’s england…the manner in which Morgan gifted his wicket with England seemingly cruising to the target looked fishy and suspicious. It is the english batsmen who should be investigated by the ICC and Scotland Yard. Are english players untouchables?

Were these tabloids sleeping during the first two one-dayers?
Why did n’t spot-fixing claims surface after the first two one-dayers?
Was it because England won?

I am not one to believe in conspiracy theories but both Ijaz Butt and Zaheer have alluded to that

Ijaz Butt
‘Conspiracy to defraud Pakistan’](http://www.cricinfo.com/england-v-pakistan-2010/content/current/story/477814.html)
A day after the ICC launched a formal investigation into Pakistan’s win in the third ODI at The Oval, Ijaz Butt has hit back at what he believes to be a “conspiracy to defraud Pakistan and Pakistan cricket”. In an astonishing, prepared statement read out to ESPNcricinfo, the board chairman also indicated that suspicion should be cast on England players from that loss and that the PCB will soon reveal the names of those parties allegedly involved in the conspiracy.

Zaheer Abbas
Former Pakistan captain Zaheer Abbas was equally unhappy with the manner of the investigations, as well as being upset with The Sun newspaper, who claimed to have been made aware of details of Pakistan’s innings before Friday’s match had got under way.
“I think the ICC has taken a decision [to launch an inquiry] in haste and the PCB must protest with them,” Abbas said.
“The new allegations are from a newspaper of the same group as News of the World, so I see it as a conspiracy against Pakistan.”

Is The Sun trying to get cheap publicity here because it is losing readership to the News of the World.

PCB should sue the tabloid if it’s latest allegations are completely baseless

Re: ICC to probe 'scoring patterns' in 3rd ODI between Pak-Eng

They shud definitely sue the paper.

Exactly my point here

It is high time something was done about these freaking bookies as well

Re: ICC to probe 'scoring patterns' in 3rd ODI between Pak-Eng

Agreed with Asif. The NOTW drama was real. Evidence straight up. This is just bakvaas for now.

Re: ICC to probe 'scoring patterns' in 3rd ODI between Pak-Eng

I guess...the Sun & NOTW themselves have connections with some bookies and agents... :D

Re: ICC to probe 'scoring patterns' in 3rd ODI between Pak-Eng

How about that stump that the umpire didnt give or diidnt ask for the third refree either??? Very suspicious isnt it? OMG ... there must be a bookie connection with the umpire.. Has the investigation started yet?

Just a word for ICC officials.. Jackass!!
