The following is an interesting ‘article’ (if you can call that) from Sun. Pakistan is under suspicion because they only managed 241 on a pitch that looked good for 300!
…What’s the point of sport if the opposition might not be trying as hard as they can all of the time?
The ICC must act to erase this suspicion hanging over the game. If players are found to be guilty, they need to be banned for life. Perhaps Pakistan should even be kicked out of cricket and ordered to clean up their act…

oh god....well, now cricinfo is also reporting the spot fixing in 3rd ODI by pakis....we can not ignore it anymore….kahan jayee banda....
i was actually happy yesterday...lanat ha….to be fair, ICC never said that a low score by the Pakistani team is the reason for doubting Pakistan …ICC chief has said that ICC was aware of the scoring pattern before the match started based on the information provided by SUN and Pakistanis scored in the exact same pattern………now that is a very serious allegation…
I dismissed SUN’s report earlier but now that cricinfo has also reported harron’s statement, this has become an important t issue….. I think the issue has become criminal in the sense that many Pakistani players may have no choice but to oblige to bookies after fixing for so long…bookies must be threatening to harm them or their families or pass on info to media....
But here are my doubts on SUN's report…. first 3 players departed relatively quickly….….so they had very little impact on the game….
alam and shafiq played for most part in the beginning of innings….and they had the best chance to match the proposed scoring pattern but alam and shaifiq cannot do spot fixing…no way…they are so new…..
shafiq was followed by umar akmal…..…..akmal brothers are corrupt…so cant say anthing…
umar was followed by afraid….without afridi’s involvement it is hard to match the scoring pattern in this match……and afridi’s track record on fixing is clear….
the only possibility could be towards the end of the game….razaq, umar gul, and ajmal are 100% capable of spot fixing….they have been with this team for so long and in last 3 years, only those players have been been allowed by the corrupt tola to establish in the team who were willing to oblige…PERIOD…that is why younis is out of the team...we all see how they kicked sarfraz ahmaad and zulqurnain out....yousaf was kicked out.....khuram manzoor was discared after one innings...not even one new player has been allowed to establish...the team was always composed of butt, farhat, shoaib malik, ajmal, kamran akmal, umar akmal, aamir, asif and gul..and i think all of them have been involved....

The main thing after reading this new try of allegations is the same as it is said many times before. ICC has itself gave an opportunity to bookers to place bets accordingly by introducing power plays. Its not that you land on the ground and you started hitting like there is no tomorrow whereas you know you have to go for 50 overs and anything can happen.
I don't know how they are calling upon the scoring pattern. If they say so then it means every match is fixed by ICC themselves, saying that a team should score this during this time and this much till that power play. Either you believe that cricket is played by effort or its another scripted drama same like WWF.

yeah but ICC had the tip about the scoring pattern....and pakis matched the pattern..here is what IIC cheif said:
"A source informed The Sun newspaper that a certain scoring pattern would emerge during certain stages of the match and, broadly speaking, that information appeared to be correct," Haroon Lorgat, the ICC chief executive, said.
now i respect haroon.....for him to say what he said above means that ICC had the information beforehand.....we dont know how closely our team matched the pattern.....it could very well be a coincidence...but what i dont believe that ICC is doing a conspiracy against us....i dont care about SUN but the fact remains that SUN involved ICC and passed on the info to them...that makes this case serious...

Agreed with Icon to an extent. NOTW published a lot of the evidence right away and made it obvious. Later revelations confirmed it.
This time it looks like more talk. I am not saying it cannot be true. Just that we need more info. What sporting pattern exactly? Pak cricketers have got to have a lot of guts to attempt this again... I find it a little hard to believe but not impossible. Need more evidence. Mr. Haroon why dont you tell us what pattern exactly are you talking about????
