Ask your friend Umair316 - he thinks Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid are self proclaimed best batsmen in the world. I wanted to see where and when they declared that.
PS :- Try to understand the sarcasm. Anyways welcome to GS.

Yup watch the India Pakistan game - The self proclaimed Great Pakistani Bowlers conceded 276 runs in just 45 overs whereas the Indian bowlers had given only 240 runs and had also taken 6 wickets as opposed to the world's best bowling lineup who were not able to get the wickets of young and new players like Yuvraj singh who according to them cant play fast bowling.

Its about "Test" games, not ODI.
I don’t know why you keep bringing up Toronto
In 1996 Pak won series 3-2
In 1997 Ind won series 4-1
In 1998 Pak won series 4-1
Pak seems to have upper hand. Is there something that I am missing?

CL - May I remind you that a Young Indian Team travelled to Pakistan in 1989 and played 4 test series and Pakistan was not able to beat India in a single test despite having bowlers like Waqar Younis, Wasim Akram, Imran Khan, Saleem Jaffer & Abdul Qadir in the team.
That same team with a batting Lineup like Rameez Raja, Javed Miandad, Salim Malik, Imran Khan etc had major problem in facing pedestrian bowlers like Prabhakar.

Not really!
India had Tendulkar, Pak didn't have Tendulkar, he's the only reason India won.

Pak Had Akram, Younis, Akhtar, India had no one like them.
Pak had Inzamam, Yoyo, Anwar and above All your Vivian Richards Afridi.
Can we stop discussing Pak V India WC match here. The topic is Test championship.

The series was a draw. and you said "Young"??? I think only Tendulkar was young in that team, otherwise almost all were 5+ years old in Test arena.
Sachin Tendulkar, Vivek Razdan, Salil Ankola - made their debuts
Manoj Prabhakar - Played his first test after a gape of 5-6 years
Sanjay Manjrekar - Playing in only his second or third series.
Players like Prabhakar, Arshad Ayub, Sidhu were veterans of Domestic cricket but they didn't have much experience at the International level.

So you are ignoring likes of Shastri, Azharuddin, Kapil Dev and instead pointing at the newer ones saying the side was young?? :)

It doesn't matter if the sides are young or old, the current Pakistani team proved every wrong by winning the tournament convincingly. You have to have a good team. If you look at it, the current Pakistani team even had less caps then the Kenyan team but they still won.
Its just a bad excuse using young player theory as a shield.

CL - I can give you the example of Current Pakistani team where you have Players like Razzaq, Latif, Youhana, Younis Khan who have been playing cricket for over 5 years now, Sami, Shoaib, Elahi, Taufeeq, Faisal, Kaneria have all been in and out of the team for a while but this team is still considered a young team, no ??
Umair316 - I am not giving any excuse, I just said that despite taking a relatively young team, all the four tests ended in a draw.
But it would have made more sense if India had outclassed Pakistan in that arena.

Pakistani team has only Rashid, Youhanna, Razzaq as "seniors" who have played 5+ years of ODI. While most of Pakistani team has ODI debutants from 1999 or 2000 or later. And only Younis Khan was the only debutant who played regularly others were mostly out of the team. Most of the players haven't played more than 10-15 ODI.
While Indian team you are talking about had people like Shastri, Kapil Dev, Azharuddin, Maninder, Srikkant.
From 1999 to 2003 is 4 years, if you have forgotten the calculations. Anyways if you go an away tour and you have as many as 6-7 (out of 15) new players playing for your team, that means half of your team is young and inexperienced.
