ICC -> England vs India

Thats the match Ive been waiting for… I think that this will be a great match, and may the best team win…

My best wishes to the England team!! Go get 'em!!!

Spock the article you posted here was copyright, so i have deleted it

Definatley it will be a close match.
England are a very good team, their new look lineup they have had for the past year or so have been effective specially in one dayers.
But then again just like the past couple months they won't be full strength because Andy Flintoff is not playing.
India definatly has the advantage.
They have the batsman who can destroy the best bowlers in the world only on sub continent pitches.
The Murali friendly pitches will suit Harbajhan and Kumble perfectly and the emergence of Yuvraj and Kaif who have been winning their team matches for the past couple months are loooking good.
If the Indian bowlers can get through Trescothick which is highly doubtful than they can restrict England to a smaller score.

Question or Spock bhai, will any of you being showing matches tonight

** But I think blackwell is good replacement. he played well in last match.English are very god oneday side. **

** Well they have destroyed bowlers outside subcontiant also.. they have chase 280s and 325 in England and score 280+ few time in last SA trip.So saying that they can only destroy bowling in subcontinant is understatement.

** Yes.. Totally Agree. however I am not sure about "doubtful" part. very few time any batsman has scored 3 consecutive one days centuries. If trescothik does it then he will equal Zaheer Abbas's record. I have my doubts about that . **

** My own feeling is that India will loose this match. One cannot keep winning every match. This momentum has to break .Today could be the day. They have won too many matches in last few months ( 9 win in last 11 matches) **

It will be a close match, both sides bowling is weak, while India has advantage in batting.

May the best team win, even though i will be supporting England in this match. :)

Though I agree that Indian bowling is not top class, but, if batting clicks I think they can powder even the best in the world. Let us wait and see!.

Blackwell played a very good innings. A respectable score by England but I think the strong Indian batting line up will overhaul it.

Once again India missed the 5th bowler. combo of Sachin, gangs, shewag, yuvraj gave away 66 runs in 11 overs. Packing the team with batsmen isn't going to work against good teams.

u are right asif..they are just dumb :)

India start their campaign wel...hope they keep up the tempo

England 269/7 (50 ov)
India 57/0 (9.0 ov)

India require another 213 runs with 10 wickets and 41.0 overs remaining

England RR: 5.38
India RR: 6.33
Required RR: 5.20

Shewag on fire, a wonderful century of 80 plus balls.

India 167/0 off 24.3 overs.

A rout in progress. :)

I think pretty much india has this game they will cruise to semi final. Very good bating by sehwag well played india.

Shewag out for 126 off 104 balls. very well played.

This Sehwag guy is too good for the English bowlers.
I said it, this guy is the next Tendulkur, he is a very solid player. Even Tendulkur at this stage of his career didn't do wonders like those. Very bad bowling from the English bowlers, no confidence at all.

And why is Dinesh Mongia dropped, I thought he was a good batsman.

Virendra Shewag c & b Id Blackwell 126
Saurav Ganguly Not Out 90
Vvs Laxman run out Owais Alam Shah 4
Sachin Tendulkar Not Out 8

Overs : 37 . 5 Extras : 14 ( NB-4 , WB-8, LB-1 , Byes-1 ,Penalty-0 )
Run Rate : 6.40 England Leads by 27 Runs Total Score : 242 / 2
FOW :1-192(V.Shewag 28.4), 2-200(V.Laxman 31.2)

is the summary till now...easy meat for India till now...

dang....ganguly hits a six and a four and completes his century...India on the way to victory within 40 overs...

Inida 271/2 in 39.3 overs. A huge victory for India.

well ...
seems like india is on a roll..
i would love to see them losing ;)
but its gonna take some beating to defeat them

If your team has solid openers than you are bound to win most of the times, it doesn't matter if you have Tenulkur or Afridi down the order, openers win matches.
Indian batting too strong for the poor English bowlers, specially in subcontinent pitches.

So the Semi Final is.

India vs South Africa

Australia vs Srilanka

I predict a India vs Australia final.

Its not that India is better than South Africa but on subcontinent pitches they bat like the best side in the world, and apparently South Africa not having a decent spinner like England will cost them the match.
