Mccullum gone at the boundary. Caught Malik Bowled Razzaq
Blackcaps 270-6

Final Score 274-7 after 50 overs
Re: ICC Champions Trophy 8th Match: Oct 25th, Pakistan vs New Zealand, Mohali (D/N)
NZL finish with 274-7. Highest score in the main round
Pakistan will need 275 to win

Tough task at hand underlights facing James (Shane) Bond
Re: ICC Champions Trophy 8th Match: Oct 25th, Pakistan vs New Zealand, Mohali (D/N)
Just one yorker in last last seven overs. Stat speaks for itself. Rana should have bowled Rana at the end. Rao, Razzaq and Gul all bowled length balls for Mccullum, oram and styris to help themselves. Bowlers were terrible at the end.
Pitch is hard and a bit bouncy. Openers need to survive first 10 overs and we are with a good chance as we bat long.
Re: ICC Champions Trophy 8th Match: Oct 25th, Pakistan vs New Zealand, Mohali (D/N)
Very good competitive total at the end for New Zealand. No matter how good a batting wicket this may be - the Pakistani batsmen will need to bat well and not play silly shots to win this.
Re: ICC Champions Trophy 8th Match: Oct 25th, Pakistan vs New Zealand, Mohali (D/N)
But I’m sure Afridi will not listen to anyone ![]()
Re: ICC Champions Trophy 8th Match: Oct 25th, Pakistan vs New Zealand, Mohali (D/N)
We saw brilliant captaincy from Younis, there goes all the garbage we thought about him, and we are effectively out of semis since we r not going to beat SA and will lose comfortably here...I guarantee it...lol...when you think they should win, the show what they are really worth, who gave up so many runs to this pathetic NZ team, more runs than any side team gave up.
Pakistan 193 all out.
Re: ICC Champions Trophy 8th Match: Oct 25th, Pakistan vs New Zealand, Mohali (D/N)
Younis' captaincy was somewhat below par today but its still early days. Lets hope he rises to the occassion and win us the match.
Re: ICC Champions Trophy 8th Match: Oct 25th, Pakistan vs New Zealand, Mohali (D/N)
Your optimism is a sight to behold masha’allah.
Re: ICC Champions Trophy 8th Match: Oct 25th, Pakistan vs New Zealand, Mohali (D/N)
There is optimism and there is reality, optimism is thinking Afridi will contribute today, reality is he will be gone before you know it. Before the match started I knew that we had to contain them to under 200 or else we'll lose, and lol they got 274 so we'll need basically a miracle, cuz no1 in our team can bat as well or as smartly as Fleming or Styris.
Just watch what happens.
Re: ICC Champions Trophy 8th Match: Oct 25th, Pakistan vs New Zealand, Mohali (D/N)
Going by his track record, a prdiction for doom from him is actually a good omen for a Pakistan win.
And Afridi dude, you don't judge (positively or negatively) big things by the performance in one match, whether you are judging someone's batting, bowling, or leadership. And especially leadership, because had Younis' decisions paid off, you would be praising him for him unconvential tactical wisdom. It's very easy to do, ah never mind, it's a cliche now!
Re: ICC Champions Trophy 8th Match: Oct 25th, Pakistan vs New Zealand, Mohali (D/N)
That’s true and seems to be the case nearly all the time.
Re: ICC Champions Trophy 8th Match: Oct 25th, Pakistan vs New Zealand, Mohali (D/N)
Afridi can contibute if we allow him to. We have to understand he's not a player who'll score 50+ runs once in every 4/5 outings. We can expect a 15 ball 34 from him, and trust me, a 15 ball 34 is heavenly when scored in the last 15 overs, and a useless wicket when he bats as an opener or anywhere up the order.
Re: ICC Champions Trophy 8th Match: Oct 25th, Pakistan vs New Zealand, Mohali (D/N)
Pakistan 193 all out.
What about the pathetic Pakistan bowling which allowed New Zealand to score all these runs?

One thing I know is that NZ would not be even close to 274 if Inzi was the captain, despite him being an idiot, Younis seemed unaware of the events and was a deer in the headlights.
Anyways, you don't believe me, just watch what happens, I'm on a roll.

Re: ICC Champions Trophy 8th Match: Oct 25th, Pakistan vs New Zealand, Mohali (D/N)
Inzi is not dumb enough to put midoff and midon in the circle in the last ten overs, Younis what an idiot! Also for not using Rana in the death where he is better than anywhere else these days.
Re: ICC Champions Trophy 8th Match: Oct 25th, Pakistan vs New Zealand, Mohali (D/N)
I agree, Younis captaincy was below par. I think he is too friendly on the field.
