Ibn-e-Safi

I dont know..in the history of spy novels..in east and west …can anyone dare to reach his level…

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes seems to be child in front of Colonel Faridi…

Agatha Cristie…is noting in front of the his charcter

plot…humour…language..everything …Ibne safi..outclass everyone…

Aghtha cristie…once said, “I don’t know Urdu but have knowledge of detective novels of the Subcontinent. There is only one original writer - Ibn-e-Safi.”

If Steven Speiberg ..ever have a chance to direct a film on characters like Col. Faridi..and Cap. Hameed…plus Qasim

i dont guess how many **Oscars **this film will get !!!

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

any thoughts....

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

Never read his work ! sorry !

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

^^ even not Imran series....???

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

Mazhar kaleem is much much better writer then ibne safi

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

mazher kaleem..starts from missile labs..and ens at missile labs....with imran as super man....

ibne safi has no parallel....

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

I’ve read his novels and I agree Ibne Safi has no parallel.

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

^^ wiseguy..your favourite is imran series or Col faridi series ???

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

i have read inspector jamshed by,... mmm

ishtiaq ahmed .

so much suspense..

we used to loveeee those

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

Mazhar Kaleem, Ain Safi, Najma Safi, all were copy cats. They stole his caharcters, no orignality.

Ibn-e-Safi was really good.

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

one movie actually made. Javed Sheikh was actually Imran. n the movie was flopped.

but i really really like Ibn Safi. Agatha Cristie is also good. i also used to like Sherlock Holmes :bummer:

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

**:) rofl.............and I like the seriousness I see on writing the above!!! **
Glad to see that *Sir Arthur Conan Doyle *didn't live to see that day...:) :) :)

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

Yup, the name was "Dhamaka" Although I think, to play Imran's character, Javed Sheikh was a wrong choice. I would have picked Asif raza mir (although he has/had moustaches and Imran is clean shaved)

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

mazhar kaleem’s novels are nothing compare to ibn-e-safi’s work…i have complete sets of imran series and jasoosi duniya by ibn-e-safi n are simply marvellous…if you really want to know wht imran series is all about then read ibn-e-safi’s work…:k:

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

Asif's dad A. Raza Meer didn't allow him---and Asif was hurt. Then Qamar Zaidi decided to take bets on Javed when he was introduced to him by Shakil whowas doing NAKHUDA those days,,,the movie flopped because of extra ordinary delay in shoots (at the Eastern Studios with limited floors) and lack of finances (though the whole movie cost around Rs.275000/- then.......! ) and Javed's other problem was that he was too skinny those days........

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

Dhamaka was based on Zafar-ul-mulk and Jameson, Javed Sheikh and Jamshed Ansari playing the roles respectively.

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

OMG so he was the first choice. Amazing

Oh, I did not know that. So Ali Imran character was not in the movie

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

^^ he never said Ali Imran wasnt there. he was!!

well i think someone else would have played better then Asif Raza Mir.
(Asif RM had curls in his hairs+his face was bit chubby so i wouldnt had chose him + plus there should agression too which i think he lacked (he got serious) :bummer:.

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

.. Nyah . And i feel left out , when all of me crowd ( Fraudia bahi , Tariq bahi , Anu bahi ) bellow about it .
