Re: Ibn-e-Safi

Pakistani movie …and on detective issues …

i also like Sherlock Holmes…every writer has some uniqueness..not degrading Arthur Conan…

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

Arthur Conan Doyle was a different class. I do not know if it is appropriate to compare him with Ibn-e-Safi. Ibn-e-Safi created his own style. He also admitted that he learned from many western writers. I would look at Arthur as “the” pioneer of pure spy stories. Ibn-e-Safi evolved the class by adding many more facades to it. I wish there was a serious, educated producer/director to consider Ibn-e-Safi’s work. I would love to see someone from India/Pakistan to make movies on Ibn-e-Safi’s work. If done properly, there would be no stopping of such movies.

My personal favorite is Jasoosi Duniya. I have contributed my share at wikipedia:

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

there is no way you guys are comparing ibn whatever..to Mr conan doyle...i read the jasoosi series and the others..there would be no way these books could hold a light to the sherlock holmes series...

They were good yes...but i doubt if i would read them again...test....how many of his stories do i remember....none!!!

How many sherlock episodes can you recall? The hound of the baskervilles!

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

sherlock is a funny guy of 1800's ..what its comparison with Col Faridi !!!!!

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

Mazhar Kaleem and other copy cats should be ashamed of writing on Ibn-e-Safi's characters so shamelessly! Mazhar Kaleem should have stuck with "Aangloo Baangloo" and "Chaloosak Maloosak" type of stories for books. I would respect him more. He can never gain respect by serious readers of mystery and suspence!

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

Mazhar Kaleem should have stuck with "Aangloo Baangloo" and "Chaloosak Maloosak" type of stories for kids, I meant! Sorry, typo!

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

Mazhar should also write like....

Aali par kya guzri....

bhoot bangla

Hatam Tai delhi mai...

*Umro Ayyar aur Shazadi cham cham *

Ameer Hamza aur Shansha Afrasayab...

:)

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

yes..i also like Col.Farid more than Ali Imran...

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

wat happened with Aali in the end. i mean did he able to escape those beggers making pimp kinda people :khumar:

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

I think Ali Imran/ X2 always won and get out of trouble.
Ibn-e-safi ki naqal kafi logon ny ki or Ali Imran ko adopet kia magar Safi safi tha:)

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

:bummer:.

aap mujh sa..13 saal purani baat kyu pooch rahee hain…:frowning:

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

Aali must have died dealing with those stupid beggars! I never read it but I am guessing :D

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

Colonel Faridi ..master pieces are enough ..but i like the most
"Purhaul Sannatta" ....
and all novels where ...Sing Hee(dont know exact chinese spellings) comes....

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

Each and every novel of Colonel Faridi is a masterpiece. I feel Ibn-e-Safi was able to create more suspence/jasoosi stories in Jasoosi Dunya than Imran Series. Imran's earlier novels were good but later they mostly became adventure and less "jasoosi".

Re: Ibn-e-Safi

^^ specaially ..i like ...

Larkio ka Jazeera (Imran seris no.9)

Lasho ka bazar ( in which Sing Hee mets with Ali Imrann in London)

Pagal Kuttai (imran series no. 24)

Rai ka Parbat (my favourite )

Ibn-e-safi fans

anyone amongst the Ibn-e-safi fans around?

Imran series

Jasoosi Duniya
