In any war against India if Pakistan can withstand the Indian assualt that in itself is a victory for Pakistan. Pakistan is still here and here to stay. The 1971 was an unwinnable war as a small force was surrounded by all sides and even the local population was against us, so lets leave 1971 out. Besides it is good that we can now focus all our energies on West Pakistan as it was called. In every other skirmish including the Kargill episode India got a bloody nose.
If India did have a superiority as it claims then they would have attacked us by now. India knows that the cost of any new war will set India back by decades, and its key cities will be reduced to rubbles. Since you say that India is doing economically well it will be the one that will suffer the most in any new war.
Our weakness is our economy and yes we need to do something about it, however Pakistan does have a huge potential if fully exploited, if we have an able leadership, an end to internal bickering, and a right environment for business. We also do need to further improve the military as well. We have suffered due to getting involved in other countries wars due to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan and the U.S intervention but hopefully that will be behind us soon.
