I won, says rape victim

Crazy *******s.

The oldest brother, known for legal reasons as MSK, had argued that because of his upbringing (in Pakistan) he thought he had the right to rape promiscuous girls. At an earlier hearing he said he thought Ms Wagner had been promiscuous because she had come to his house unchaperoned, had been drinking and had not worn a headscarf.

AFTER her four-year ordeal, Tegan Wagner had a simple message for the Pakistani-born brothers who lured her to their Sydney home to gang-rape her.

“I’d like to say, ‘Have fun in prison, boys, I won’.”
Admitting it felt great to finally tell her tormentors how she felt, Ms Wagner yesterday took the unusual step of waiving her right to anonymity to celebrate her victory.
Minutes earlier in the NSW Supreme Court the 18-year-old woman had given one of the men “the finger” as he was led away after being sentenced to jail for multiple rapes, which means he could spend a maximum of 28 years behind bars. When he turned to her and said “I’m sorry”, she replied: “F… you, go to hell, mate.”

Then 14, Ms Wagner was raped by both MSK and MAK in a bedroom of their Ashfield home during an evening of drinking in June 2002 and has endured their many attempts to stall the legal process. “I shouted a few profanities. I’ve been waiting to say that to them for four years … I felt great it’s finally over.”
Ms Wagner rejected the argument put forward by the brothers that their strict Muslim upbringing in provincial Pakistan had contributed to the rapes.
“This wasn’t about culture, this was about abuse against women, and the fact they had the nerve to bring in culture to begin with just astounds me,” she said.

At an earlier hearing he said he thought Ms Wagner had been promiscuous because she had come to his house unchaperoned, had been drinking and had not worn a headscarf.
The two brothers, MSK and MAK, are already in jail for other gang rapes committed in 2002. Yesterday their sentences were extended by between one and five years.
Judge Peter Hidden sentenced MSK on four charges of sexual intercourse without consent with Ms Wagner, with the aggravating circumstance of being in company of his brother MAK and another man.
MSK’s total jail term increased from 22 years with a non-parole period of 16 1/2 years to 28 years with a non-parole period of 22 years. That sentence also took into account a guilty plea to the rape of a 13-year-old girl in July 2002. MAK, who pleaded guilty to having sexual intercourse with Ms Wagner without consent, had two years added to his minimum jail term and will now serve 19 years.

Re: Brothers who raped blame Pakistan for doing so

They got less than they deserved for daring to pull Pakistan into the blame. The claim is baseless, the judge must have thought so too, thats why he was sentenced to those many years. Just a damn excuse by someone trying to wriggle out of a tough case. :k: for miss Wagner.

MSK and MAK must be their intials and the K most probably stands for “Khan” and I dont think Pashtun culture and upbringing teach anything as absurd as what these guys claim.

Re: Brothers who raped blame Pakistan for doing so

Good the two are behind the bars! After that, they should be institutionalized for the remainder of their lives for thinking that it's Islamic to rape women who don't confirm to a certain dresscode.

Re: Brothers who raped blame Pakistan for doing so

I am sure many (gullible) people will buy their 'reasoning'.

Re: Brothers who raped blame Pakistan for doing so

what the hell has pashtun culture got o do witht his LOL. there are khans in awan’s, jatts, rajputs, gujars, hindustani origin people with no pashtun ancestry, mughals, balochies. i have a khan friend’s who belogn to soem of these tribes.

the K could stand for khizer, khokkhar, khattar…lol…oh wow…sorry i dont mean to sound so patronising

Re: Brothers who raped blame Pakistan for doing so

^ Just a though bro and I was only prasing pashtun culture regardless of its involement...

No harm done, I hope :D

Re: I won, says rape victim

I AM NOT PASHTUN DONT WORRY LOL

my comments were not meant to undermine you lol......

Re: Brothers who raped blame Pakistan for doing so

And what good have you achieved from praising them in a thread that has nothing to do with them? Frankly, it doesn't make much sense to me.

Re: I won, says rape victim

:rotfl: shmucks.

Now these are the kind of people whom I’d send to jirga councils (for bizarre punishments)

Goga till death.

Re: I won, says rape victim

In the US:

Every two and a half minutes, somewhere in America, someone is sexually assaulted.
One in six American women has been the victim of an attempted or completed rape, and 10% of sexual assault victims are men.
In 2003-2004, there were an average annual 204,370 victims of rape, attempted rape or sexual assault.

http://www.rainn.org/statistics/

Every society has its ills. Are we to say the close to 200,000 women raped very year in the US is due to US society? This of course does not include the rape acts that aren’t reported.

Re: I won, says rape victim

What’s the point you are making? …
Looks like you are saying…yes it happened due to Pakistani culture…
It happens in US as well, So big deal…

You are missing the point, that brothers are sick trying to pull Pakistan into it… Pakistan Government should issue injuctions against them… :naraz:

Re: I won, says rape victim

Reading comprehension is not one of your strong point is it? Or are you naturally so narrow-minded? My point is no culture dictates that an assualt on a woman is acceptible. Well every society except for Hindu society. The brothers are doing what rapists do best, blame displacement.

Re: I won, says rape victim

Buddy, read and read your posts again before blaming my comprehension…:snooty: and may be you see the point..
I did clearly say that brothers are wrong in blaming Pakistan… :naraz:
Though you showed your clear bias and sick mentality by blaming Hinduism, ofcourse Hindus and rest of the world is getting more and more apprehensive of you mullah bred and brainwashed Muslims… who have taken religion as an excuse to abuse others… ;-)
Since this time it were Hindus, you would have called Christians and Jews names already earlier… so that leaves only yourself… :hoonh:

Re: I won, says rape victim

I am glad the courts looked past the stupid comment that Muslim upbringing in Pakistan had something to do with the rape. Many times things like religion are used as excuse in such cases. I think mostly it is the environment and the people surrounding you who shape your views that are the real cause.

Re: I won, says rape victim

yawn I respond to substance not drivel.

Re: I won, says rape victim

I hope they get gang raped in prison... :biggthumb

Grumpy, if you dont think culture dictates assault on women, then wht abt Mukhtar Mai and now Aisha Perveen, not to mention the countless other women who've been in the same situation? Rape n sexual abuse happens everywehre yes, in some cultures/societies its a criminal aspect of society, whereas in other cultures, the criminal is the rape victim herself for being a certain way adn inviting it upon herself.

Re: I won, says rape victim

:CareBear: :rotfl:
:mocking:

Re: I won, says rape victim

In some societies criminals get the punishment in others they get away with what ever they do. Pakistan is one of many examples of the latter.

You seem to have bought the stupid idea of some people who say that these incidents reflect mentality of Pakistani people. Sad.

Sara why don't you ask your own family like you Dad and uncles about what they feel about this issue.
