Re: i want to stop eating

^ :hmmm: I like the cookie idea. Erm…I’m not a major cookie person…any particular type you recommend that’ll be good with chai?

Re: i want to stop eating

OH YES!..i am huge fan of cookies!. You tell me what is your taste..i'll recommend you something!

Re: i want to stop eating

^ I used to eat the toast thingies with tea years ago…similar to the pic below…but stopped b/c someone said they were bad. Anything crunchy/hard that I can dip would be nice. Not too sweet. I don’t like flavored ones either like lemon, vanilla etc.

Re: i want to stop eating

I don't drink chai but regularly drink green tea. When i first started 2 years ago, I used to have 3 tsp sugar as well, because green tea is too bitter! But over the last year, I cut it down to 1 tsp....and now I drink my tea with no sugar at all! It doesn't taste all that great, but it's an acquired taste, I guess. I'm used to it without sugar now.

I've never been a healthy eater, and hardly eat fruits/veggies. heck, I cook veggies for the hubby and still not eat. Hubby finds it super weird that I'd spend time cooking something and not even try it. I have 2 apples sitting in my fridge for over a week and I have not touched them. Although over the past 2 years I have tried to eat somewhat better. It's so hard though, esp. because we're currently in Europe so travel very often...and when you travel, you pig out! I tried doing detox diet for a month (hubby's been doing it for years 2/yr) and I literally felt like crying one day lol. I was going through withdrawals and almost felt depressed. Food is for me what shopping is for shopaholics. I don't do retail therapy, I do food therapy!

Re: i want to stop eating

Urgh, I’ve the biggest sweet cravings available .. I dont drink tea or coffee.. but I love coke! .. I try not to drink it everyday and it works, but then every weekend I slip in and have some .. Chocolate, candies and crisps .. must have some every day .. if not available I calm myself with some cookies .. Have tried to calm my sweet addictness with fruits, but I obviously need the real deal .. Moreso, I know if you eat fruit right after a meal, the fructose goes right on to being fat (fatty acid synthesis) so I might as well just eat the little chocolate right  .. Now you all are not feeling so good about the extra “healthy” apple after dinner huh?! .. Judgemental about my sweet addict ab bolo huuuuh!

Re: i want to stop eating

My post delivery cravings were the worst. I craved doughnuts, cakes, pastries and even mithai yuck. Now that my baby is 6 months I have been able to control my sweet tooth. I ve replaced fruits for desserts. It works! Another tip to avoid unnecessary snacking is to drink cold water through out the day. Its a great hunger suppressant. Another funny yet effective tip is to imagine yourself as super skinny each time you want to eat junk. You might just noy eat it or go for a healthier alternate. This has helped me to fit in all my pre pregnancy clothes :D
