Re: I need a job
Chak de!
Before partition, my grandfather lived for 20 odd years in Pune and 20 odd years in Bombay. He was born in Punjab though, in the same ancestral town we call 'home' today. Weird how we are divided today, when our family histories span across an artificial border.
You came to America to study I presume?
hi ayesha,
what kind of work you are looking for, where, NE?, are you up for a FT, or PT position, in what field and what have you studied, your prior work experience?
I live in Fairfax Va so, I want a job near my home. I dont have the option to move. I have a bachelors degree in Business. I have some technical skill and work experiece thats why I want a job in IT. Junior DBA would be a dream job...
Damn hard to get it right now... I will even go for an entry level or junior analyst.

Never been to lahore but i wish to see my ancestral house. My daddu had a shop there in lahore. I dont know the name of the area.
I work as project manager for keane inc.
Aisha, it can be tough early on.
As an entry level, if you have a bachelor in business... why dont you expand your scope a little? Also, are there a few jobs out there and you have been applying but have been unsuccessful? or you just simply cant find many jobs advertised? Because if its the former, then you need to focus more on why?? maybe polish up the resume a little and improve the covering letter? If its the later, then you know you are in the wrong field, or something thats not really that 'hot' at the moment.
I had it tough early on in my career and struggled a fair bit. But i'll tell you... if you dont lose hope and keep trying, you will get in eventually!
Its still early days for you so you have the luxury of changing career paths or atleast expand your scope of search to other related areas. Goodluck.
