I think it’s about getting information rather than establishing careers.
The information he got could be used to develop effective strategy against Taliban.

Yes the information he could be useful. What could have been more useful was:

“Hey I am going to meet so an so. If i do meet him, I will give you a missed call and you all come running in guns blazing.”

That would have been absolutely brilliant. More than useful I say.
