The book is filled with references to sitting Majors, Colonels, Major Generals, politicians & people from every corner of society who covertly & openly support the Al-Qaeda/Taliban ideology & fall of state of Pakistan under the banner of “Controlled Chaos”.
After reading the book, one can understand how Al-Qaeda/Taliban are brainwashing, recruiting & who is on there payroll either on motivational grounds or by carrots.
Was this book published in his life or after his murder ?
And is this an English translation from Urdu or did he write it in English himself ?
The reason I ask is that I wish he was alive to own the information presented in this book to make sure that it is authentic before taking everything presented in it as gospel.
I also wish that something comes out of the investigation into his murder and whoever did it is exposed, whether they be holy cows or not.

Now I tend to believe Mullen when he said that Saleem's assassination was approved by the government, and carried out by ISI.
If he could name people involved in Mumbai attacks and government claims it does not know who did it, then either government is telling lies or it is incompetent (cf: OBL presence in Pak).
BTW, the name of that retired SSG commando seems to be mis spelt. "Captain Khurram Ashkiq" may be "Captain Khurram Ashiq".
Who knows if the Americans used the book as a reference and might have crosschecked through their sources. The Americans have their own motives exposing Pakistan army and intelligence at the moment otherwise it's the writing on the wall from the very first day as to who killed him and why.

Its amazing that he had all this information, met with all of these people yet the CIA never decided to get his cooperation to spy for the US or gather more intel? If even 1% of what he writes is true he is by far better informed than General Pasha himself.
Also since he met with all these Taliban and Al Qaeda individuals any man of honor would have informed the CIA of their whereabouts.
He was a journalist and he had to tread a fine line, as on one side were the taleban/alqaeda and on the other side isi/CIA. The consequences of crossing the red line could have been dangerous for him, and you have seen the result.
Being a journalist if he had disclosed the whereabouts of taleban/ al Qaeda they would have killed him or at least stop giving him interviews so his career would have been on the line, ethics of the profession does not allow them to disclose the location of their clients.

So our intelligence can't find them yet this jouranlist can and he doesn't even share the information and nor the locations with the ISI or the CIA. Well done on him. We don't need to worry about the Taliban we need to worry about people like him who have information and do not even provide to the proper authorities to safe guard lives of innocents.
Its good to know that careers are worth more than the life of Pakistani men, women and children that have died at the hands of these barbarians.
