I have generally noticed

Re: I have generally noticed

Cuddlemuffin? Henceforth, I’ll shall respond to Empress of the Universe :snooty:

Okay going back to the the supposed contradiction in my statement - I disagree - there is no contradiction. Men are socialized to behave in a way that engenders consistency in their responses. It goes back to their logical, objective approach which removes emotion from the equation - they see a problem and they seek to remove obstacles that they believe have created the problem. The assumption is that problem solved, therefore issue solved.

Women on the other hand are socialized to be emotional and empathetic and their empathy and emotions manifest themself into possibly transference of their own emotions and experiences onto another’s issue, but also their ability to try to connect with the emotional impact of the situation. They seek to resolve not just the “issue” but the emotional grievances underlying the issue. It’s the idea of treating the symptom or the cause.

Again, as stated before, I’m not saying the guy’s approach is wrong or the girl’s approach is wrong - it’s just different.

And, so totally not agreed! What did I say about hell and ice yesterday…
