I have accepted Shiaism...

Re: I have accepted Shiaism...

^ now suddenly shiaas consider muaweyah's words to be full of truth....

anyway, Ali (ra) held a very high rank, but definitely not as high as abu bakr (ra)....
no one deserved khilafat more than Abu Bakr (ra)....

Re: I have accepted Shiaism...

May I add thet Muhammad ibn AbuBakr(ra) son of AbuBakr(ra) was a staunch supporter of Ali(as) in Jamal,Siffin , Nahrwan and remained so till his martyrdom at the hands of Muawiyah's men in Egypt

Re: I have accepted Shiaism...

so muawiyah was lying?

Re: I have accepted Shiaism...

So u agree that Muawyah's word are not full of truth??

Now what about authors mohaditheen that do believe muaweyah's words to be trustworthy?? Should those authors and mohaitheen be termed as not trustworthy?? And hence all ahadith coming thru can't be termed as 100% accurate?

On a side note shia's don't believe in Muawiya's words or some other sahaba's either, but what about people that do.

Re: I have accepted Shiaism…

Lajawab and Zainest:

Maybe you should take a bit of your own advice and not judge me?? That’s where you should begin.

I asked the question but you have already judged me in saying that I have pointed fingers at someone.

I simply stated in very explicit words, that whoever is responsible should be brought to justice for their crimes.

You are both delusional if you are comparing me to a munafiq and going to such lengths as to accuse me of something I am competely free of, it’s hilarious how you on the internet are making up rulings based on your individualistic style of combating by the use of single ayats of Qur’an, what is it with you turning into self-made authorities on Qur’an and Ahadith? :cb:

Re: I have accepted Shiaism...

**Zainest said:

"The Fatwa of Mahmood Shaltoot was highly criticized by all other authorities. Al Azhar does not carry any weight for last 70 odd years."

**Zainest I hope you can firstly explain to me who "all other authories are" and please tell me who declared that al-Azhar Sharif does not carry any weight for last 70 odd years, according to whom, Ulema an-Najd?

Stop throwing lies around yourself! With absolutely nothing given behind your words that hold weight...yet you criticize Al-Azhar Sharif's 1000+ years of Islamic learning by ignorantly stating that for last 70 years it is not holding weight anymore. You have no clue what you're talking about.

Re: I have accepted Shiaism…

u remember Muhammad bin Abu Bakr (ra) being a supporter of Ali (ra), but u forget that Abu Bakr (ra), Umar (ra), and Uthman (ra) held him in high regards too and he served as the qazi (sort of chief justice) and advisor to them???

why do u ppl think that these 3 khalifas were enemies of Ali (ra)???

Re: I have accepted Shiaism...

Brother do not put words in my mouth where have I said such a thing?
The cooperation that Ali(as) gave to the first 3 caliphs is very difficult to ascertain from a neutral standpoint. Shia sources downplay such incidents and sunni sources tend to exaggerate them.It is safe to assume though that relatively speaking the best relations Ali(as) had were with Umar(ra) and the most instances of cooperation can be seen in that time.AbuBakr(ra) 's caliphate was too short and plagued by the apostasy wars in which as far as I know Ali(as) helped in the defence of Madina.

Re: I have accepted Shiaism…

^im really impressed with your attitude Das Reich. Keep it up :k:

Re: I have accepted Shiaism...

In Shia Islam, we interpreate "the ahlul bayt" as the line of Imams, and their tradition. (which is basically a continuation of the message of the Prophet)

I am not 100% familiar with all the specifics, but I will try and look it up and report back. I do know that it is something to do with Hadith E Kisaa (Hadith of the Cloak)

(For some reason I can't post the URL)

www . duas . org / hadis - e - kisa .htm

Sunni and Shia Islam are actually quite similar in the sense that we both follow Hadith. The main difference is how we judge the authentcity of the sources, and where we get the sources from.

I would also like to say that this is a great forum. I love that religion can be discussed in such a respectful way
