Why do you women all think your boyfriends or husbands are not average men and do not have the qualities of average men?
What is so special about your guys (in your warped minds) that these guys can not make a sick joke, treat women like objects and be crude?
You base this on what factual evidence or proof? No your mommy saying so does not count.

I've seen married women (yes, Desi) who are honest and realistic about their husbands...and don't put them on a pedestal.
I think it's a human nature to think well of those that are really close to you...not only confined to husbands....can include brothers and fathers as well.
