IF taken from a religious point of view Qur’an seeks punishment for both parties involved.

I’m sorry but I wasn’t prejudicing. I know what Quran says and FYI it’s not neccesary to punish them if they repent afterwards and they’re ordered to get married! Actually the reason why I made that comment was because that’s how our society is. The guy can very well get away from what he did but girl will always be blamed. People will make assumptions about her as someone above made. Many will say that she probably has had sex with others too in the past that’s why she was so daring. It’s all true. No matter what we say but that’s how it is, what more can one expect from a male dominated society?

Its already happened and taken place. You cannot fix the past, you can only work towards a safe future. If there is a pregnancy or a child then do not abort it. If the couple is truely repentful then they should take steps to secure their future such as marriage and financial gain.

the 100 lashes-ok consider this...if the guy married her and did his deed and then divorced her(since it's so easy in islam)wouldn't the guy still be entitled to 100 lashes?.....marriage is just looked upon a license to have sex.

OMG dude!....100 lashes for having sex??!....There are sins worse than having sex..and it's not someone does intentionally(especially in this case)it just happened(any doctor here could explain u tht)....the 100 lashes could better be used for other sins a person commits...especially the ones he does intentionally...

Our Lord, our Creator, has most clearly and explicity commanded us to give those who carry out this heinous crime 100 lashes. Who are we to question Him and His wisdom. He has commanded us and we must obey!!!

i may be totally wrong, so no one beat me ok…but, not that it was ok in the first place, but aren’t you forbidden from marrying a person you have slept with out of wedlock?

Yes..Islam does teach us self-control..but wht if for tht one second u lose all control and hell breaks loose?
Fine give them 100 lashes…but would tht make what has happened go away?..The man feels guilty as it is…and there could be no greater punishment than tht.
714 you know I have heard that also. However I cannot be certain nor 100% sure. But I have also heard that if you get a girl pergent you MUST marry her, or something like that.
