Seems they really want to destablize Pakistan now.
Re: I guess this proves they really are our friends
What are you suggesting here? If US is not Pakistan's "friend", as you put it, then who is? Talibanic fasadi morons?
Looking for "friends" in international politics is quite naive thinking.
Every country takes care of its own interest only. And countries cooperate with others when their interests coincide with each other.
Pakistan and US has a common enemy in the form of Talibanic kharijis. This is why Pakistan cooperates with US in this fight against them.
But Pakistan has all the rights to stop the cooperation when its interests do not coincide with theirs.
Re: I guess this proves they really are our friends
Wow what a retarded statement. Since when is life like Bush describes it? And sadly no condemnation concerning the death of Pakistani soldiers. Typical bull****.

Re: I guess this proves they really are our friends

The "great powers" are merely using Pakistan and it's people as a political pawn in thier "great game".

Re: I guess this proves they really are our friends
CM, do you really think in international relations their is anything like "friendship" ?
It's all about interests, and every country have a right to safe guard as per their resources and international standing.
Now on NATO-led forces attacks on Pakistan's border region: Did Pakistan respond? Yes we did, we just stop the vital supplies.
If the attacks continue, we will definitely responds with whatever we possesses.
Re: I guess this proves they really are our friends
Pakistan has stopped all the NATO supplies .
Ok I think thats the best we can do for now ![]()
Re: I guess this proves they really are our friends
the people who are sitting on the seats are not emotional bunch. They have brain intact, they evaluate options and make decisions.
Pakistan was and will always play double game with anyone in Afghanistan, we have our own sphere of influence and interests to safe guard in the regions around us. Off course we are and we will save some of taliban as strategic interest we can use these trained animals in future as a bargain chip for the stake in any future government of Afghanistan.
Re: I guess this proves they really are our friends
Yeah. That green card must have been worth it considering you are supporting the killing of Pakistanis. Shouldn't you be banned for that?
Re: I guess this proves they really are our friends
But what has motivated the Pakistani blockade against NATO supply trucks - the death of the soldiers OR the NATO entry into Pakistani airspace, strike on a military checkpoint and the alleged violation of Pakistan's sovereignty? It's not one and the same.
Re: I guess this proves they really are our friends
There have been 3 violations before this one. This is the only time Pakistani troops have been killed. Logic my dear Watson.

Educate me, oh wise one.
Does the blockade mean that the government considers the loss of life of Pakistani soldiers as more important than the loss of life of Pakistani civilians? There have been examples of civilians killed in cross-fire or as a result of NATO-led incursions and I'm not aware of any action other than an official statement by the Pakistani government denouncing the deaths of civilians. Didn't the death of those civilians merit protests or blockades by the Pakistani government?

Common Faris, how come pakistan is a pawn?? Everybody is milking each other. Pak fauj is happy to take money for being one of the players in the "great game".
But, its the voiceless and the innocents that are getting consumed and used in the great game.
Re: I guess this proves they really are our friends
I guess the army is getting fed up of being used and abused...or not.
Didn't the American terrorists conduct a ground operation few days ago IN Pakistan? Is this the same incident or different one?
I hope the militants blow up all the NATO supplies that the Pak army is now PROTECTING. Talk about kissing a$$.
Re: I guess this proves they really are our friends
Ok thats what I heard on TV from some ANP politician . He was saying that in that area some ethnic cleansing was going on (I believe shia suni - not sure) . NATO was pushing Pakistani government to do something about it , as all the militants were in that area . Pakistaniz didn't do anything about it . So NATO forces came in and strike . Plus they also have around 2000 to 3000 Afghan army operating in this area inside Pakistan as they don't trust Pakistani army .
This is something I just heard on TV . What I think is that NATO/Americans are pissed off , may be because Pakistaniz are not doing much or not doing what Americans want them to do . But the thing is that sooner or later Pakistan will have to take a stand . This requires a leadership with a backbone , that we don't have . Soooo . . . just say Jiya Bhutto , drink whiskey and sleep :)

To that Zardari president of pakistan and supreme commander of military has already said to the Americans he doesn't care about the civilians killed in strikes.
Army should deploy units armed with ANZAs and engage/shoot down couple of NATO/US attack helicopters... In self defense off course.
Nah not gonna happen...
