Yes he has an accent still, but he is very liberal minded, very helpful & co-operative, kind and clever, and gives respect where respect is due.
If he wasn't a fob i wouldn't have even half the knowledge of pakistan as i do now. Also, bcos some of his family r in paks, it gives us a good base to visit there often.
well the only things he is missing can be taught.... and thats not hard....
fobs r not that bad depends if u r getting married to a fob frm a gahoon .... than its a bit difficult but again if u have a gud understand and he is willing to learn and change then its not so bad

a lot of us are married to people who have migrated here with their parents or maybe come across for education and stayed on.. so would you be offended if a friend of urs said to you, "oh i dont want to marry a fob.. i want someone from here.."?
I'm not offended as such, more i guess perplexed by someone's views. What would make them say that knowing u are married to a so called "fob" (my bro however explains, in my marriage, im the fob :D)

It's a preference I guess. Some girls cannot see themselves with someone with a slight accent. Or who cannot hang out with their goray friends and will voice different ideas or thought processes. It's personal preference.

ive heard lots of people around me say that many times , however at many times you will find so called FOBS better mannered , well spoken than those that were born in the west.

i met many ppl in pakistan who spoke very well english with an accent but were so well mannered and treat their wives so well.
