Re: I don't want my kids growing up in Pakistan...
If some one thinks there are no jobs in Pak than i think he or she is living in cucko land. Pak has population of 170 million with strong agro and industrial base and highly developed service industry. There are many jobs in pak where you get better salaries than west but to land these jobs you need good educational background with strong chacha mama reference. In uk you can become a cashier at any bank after leaving school but in pak its diff here to become even cashier at a bank you need education.

^haha...yeah yeah yeah my husband is uneducated according to Pakistani standards that's why I'm staying. :D
Btw, dengue fever in Lahore has again spread this week. My sister just told me...anyone who's planning to go should take caution and wait until it's fully controlled.
Re: I don't want my kids growing up in Pakistan...
Also, the people who live in the west and think just by sending their sons and daughters to Sunday Islamic school will make sure they turn out pious and chaste, you guys are in for a big surprise when they grow up, goto colleges... I dont blame them... from blending in to being rebellious, they're human beings too.
Obviously, such problems have crept up in Pakistan too..
Each side thinks they're kids will turn out to be good pious 'Muslims'.
There are so many reasons why good kids go bad or bad kids turn good......there are so many factors that influence.....it is impossible to isolate to a single thing.
Re: I don't want my kids growing up in Pakistan...
what's that supposed to mean and how does it relate to what is being discussed?
"You're obviously a moderator" in response to "You're obviously bored"
I think suggests how we should get on with the topic instead of starting to tell people how bored they may seem or as earlier mentioned, are defensive about people who they don't know of.
